HAVOK: Denver Thrashers Announce North American Tour With Exhumed

Band To Release Limited Edition Vinyl Pressing Of Time Is Up

Denver thrash warriors, HAVOK, who recently pummeled the masses on tour with Bay Area legends, Forbidden, will embark on another punishing support trek this Fall alongside headliners Exhumed, Goatwhore and Cephalic Carnage. Set to commence on October 26 in New Mexico, the tour will lay waste to nearly two dozen cities and come to a close in Flagstaff, Arizona on November 20.

Said vocalist/guitarist David Sanchez: "I'm fuckin' psyched! This lineup is HEAVY! I'm a fan of all of the bands that we'll be playing with, so this is gonna be really fun. Even better, we finally get to tour with Cephalic Carnage. It will be cool to show people how bands from Denver throw down. If this tour is anything like our last run with Forbidden, there are going to be some gnarly pits and bloody noses. Anyone that's going to these shows should be prepared to have a sore neck."

Added drummer Pete Webber: "We are pumped to announce our tour with Exhumed, Goatwhore and Cephalic Carnage this Fall! Our last tour with Forbidden was one of the best yet and we hope to keep the heat going with this one! We will be hitting some cities where HAVOK has not played in awhile and you all better show your metal faces there!"

HAVOK
will be touring in support of their critically-adored Time Is Up full-length, released earlier this year via Candlelight Records. The record has earned near-perfect ratings from media outlets large and small.

Noted Rock Sound adamantly: "Everyone should be worshipping at these Denver native's altar as they have the flashy skill, ridiculous song-writing chops and prodigious lead guitar work that'll have even the most jaded ears saying, 'Okay, just this last one...'" Terrorizer agreed, declaring: "Everything great about thrash -- infectious, galloping riffs, hummable choruses, a vast array of gang vocals in 'DOA' -- is employed, with their ace in the hole being Reece Scruggs, whose sumptuously-phrased solos, balancing shred, fiery modal moves and soulful, blues bends will suck in everyone from guitar nerds to song-structure curmudgeons."
Said Agnostic Front's Roger Miret of the track "No Amnesty" in the April 2011 edition of Decibel Magazine's Call & Response feature: "Thrash in the vein of Overkill, Nuclear Assault, Kreator etc. I don't know if this is a new band or an old's band new material, but it's pretty kick ass!" About.com gave the record a 4/5 rating stating simply: "This is a damn good thrash album. Call it retro, new thrash revival or whatever, HAVOK have the chops and the ability to prove that they have the staying power to last in this genre," while Hardrock Haven opined: "...for those who feel Metallica wussed out, Megadeth got too corporate, Anthrax too modern and Slayer too, well, the same as always, HAVOK should be a great reminder as to what made thrash so damn cool in the first place."

In related news, a limited edition, hand-numbered, color vinyl pressing of Time Is Up will be released via Restricted Release to coincide with the upcoming tour. Additionally, HAVOK will be shooting a new video for "D.O.A." this month. Details to be unveiled soon.
