Recorded by Dan Pilla at Bad Lab Studios in Tabernacle, New Jersey in early 2011, and mastered by Colin Marston (Gorguts, Dysrhythmia, Krallice) at The Thousand Caves Studios in Queens, New York, the cover art and layout created by Caroline Harrison, and the completed album self-released by PYRRHON directly. This August, Polish record label Selfmadegod will officially reissue the album with proper distribution and promotion worldwide. An official street date will be announced shortly.

Since their formation PYRRHON has gigged extensively in the greater New York City area and has shared the stage with Misery Index, Evoken, Liturgy, Cannabis Corpse, Creative Waste, The Binary Code, Gloominous Doom, Criminal Element, The Communion, Hung, Clinging to the Trees of a Forest Fire, Humanity Falls, Flourishing, Three Faces of Eve, Questioner, Abdicate and more.

ALL PIGS MUST DIE: Debut Full-Length Confirmed For August Release

Massachusetts slaughter squad ALL PIGS MUST DIE are preparing to set their debut full-length loose on the public this Summer. Entitled God Is War, the pummeling eight-song record album has officially been set for release on August 16, 2011 via Southern Lord Recordings, and bears some of the most hate-fueled hymns of the year.

Combining of old-school Swedish death metal savagery with explosive hardcore aggression and blistering, punk/d-beat energy, ALL PIGS MUST DIE have quickly become an extremely recognized and respected act in the mere year and a half since the band's formation. Their crushing 2010-released self-titled EP was initially released on LP via the band's own Nonbeliever Records, eventually catching the ear of Southern Lord, who almost immediately picked up the album for distribution, and signed the hard-working act for the release of their newly completed God Is War full-length.

A group committed to uncompromising sonic warfare APMD explode on God Is War, the album's sound and lyrical content assaulting the listener in a fury of death-filled anthems. Their upbeat flurry is slowed only for the occasional snail-paced buildup of mammoth riff tension, the rush of obvious hatred for humanity relentlessly displayed through it all. Recorded and mixed by Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou at his God City Studio (Black Breath, Nails, Trap Them, Disfear) in December, the tone of God Is War is as foreboding as the music itself. The cover bears a fittingly dark drawing by famed artist Florian Bertmer, who was also responsible for the artwork on APMD's self-titled EP. View the cover art for the album, live footage and more right here!

God Is War Track Listing:

01 Death Dealer
02 Pulverization
03 Sacrosanct
04 God Is War
05 The Blessed Void
06 Third World Genocide
07 Total Extinction
08 Sadistic Vindicator

ALL PIGS MUST DIE contains vocalist Kevin Baker (The Hope Conspiracy), drummer Ben Koller (Converge), guitarist Adam Wentworth (Bloodhorse) and bassist Matt Woods (Bloodhorse). Since uniting in APMD in 2010, the band have toured regionally throughout the U.S., including multiple major assaults at this year's SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas, and several Scion-sponsored music showcases including their first West Coast appearance at Los Angeles' The Roxy. APMD will return to the West Coast this August as they are scheduled to play several of the upcoming The Power Of The Riff shows.

Boston Rockers to open for Queensryche at House of Blues

Boston-based rock band Switchblade Suicide has been asked by legendary rock band Queensryche to be the opening act for their "30th Anniversary Tour” when it comes to House Of Blues on Lansdowne Street in Boston, MA on Saturday, August 6 at 6:00p.

Switchblade Suicide's sound is colorfully described as the bastard child of hard rock and heavy metal, devouring the riffs of the ‘70s (KISS, Aerosmith), the driving dominance of the ‘80s (AC/DC, Guns ‘N Roses), and the remorseless angst of the ‘90s (Alice in Chains). Blend it all together and "The Blade," as their fans have dubbed them, personifies the next incarnation of raw, ruthless rock ‘n’ roll, refusing to replicate.

With a sound and vibe that is uncompromising, unapologetic, and unbridled, Boston-based Switchblade Suicide will infectiously inject you with a lethal dose of original rock ‘n' roll ... just what the doctor ordered for the revival of rock music.

In 2010, Switchblade Suicide was #1 in the voting out of 150 local bands that entered the KISS/Guitar Center Opening Act Competition (Boston Area). After the public voting period ended for the Boston area on June 23, KISS reviewed the submissions of the top 5 bands. In addition to receiving the most votes, Switchblade Suicide was selected based on their excellent musicianship, solid commercial viability & marketability, and a genre of music that KISS embodies.

In addition to opening for Queensryche & KISS, “The Blade” has opened for Cheap Trick & Squeeze, Dizzy Reed (Guns ‘N Roses), and members of Quiet Riot, Warrant, and White Lion. Switchblade Suicide has also had notable performances in cities such as Pittsburgh, New York City, Hartford, Manchester, Providence, and Boston, with airplay on WBCN and live appearances on WAAF.

Along with their self-titled debut EP & 2010 follow up release, “Japanese Release”, Switchblade Suicide’s newest single, "Love & Suicide", is now available on iTunes, CDBaby, and Amazon.com.

Don't miss Switchblade Suicide opening for Queensryche’s “30th Anniversary Tour”, Live at House of Blues on Lansdowne Street in Boston, MA on Saturday, August 6 at 6:00p. For complete ticket information, visit www.livenation.com .

InVogue Records Signs Italy's Everland

Rome, Italy's Everland have inked a deal with InVogue Records. The band features Hopes Die Last vocals Marco Calanca. The band is currently in the studio finishing up their debut album that is self-titled and slated for a September release.

"I've always been a huge fan of Marco's vocals and songwriting since signing them to my previous label. I think Everland offers that straight up rock and roll sound that I love & it is refreshing to hear", said InVogue owner Nick Moore. "We are very excited to release this record and get them some attention here in the USA!"

Forming in early 2011, Everland has been busy formulating their rock and roll sound with catchy vocal melodies. The group will be touring around Europe this fall in support of the album. InVogue Records is an independent label based out of Findlay, OH owned and operated by Before Their Eyes front man Nick Moore.

UNEARTH: Worldwide Album Premiere Hosted By Alternative Press

Today, Alternative Press hosts a worldwide album premiere of UNEARTH's upcoming Darkness In The Light full-length, scheduled to hit North American record shelves on July 5, 2011, via Metal Blade Records. The 11-track long player was recorded at Zing Studios in Westfield, Massachusetts with producer (and Killswitch Engage guitarist) Adam Dutkiewicz and mixed at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Trivium, et al). Sitting in on drums during the recording was Justin Foley (Killswitch Engage/Blood Has Been Shed).

Comments vocalist Trevor Phipps of the record: "This album is without a doubt some of the heaviest, most dynamic and memorable tunes we've ever written. The disc is littered with the shred 'n' stomp-filled songs our fans would expect from us, as well as some added vocal hooks, guitar melodies, guitar solos and some different paths taken in style and structure. We knew we had to continue to separate ourselves from the pack and to cement our place in the heavy metal world as one of the leaders and not as one of the many followers that seem to hop on the trend wagon and give up so easily when the going gets hard. We are here to stay and collectively we couldn't be any more fired up to play these songs around the world for our fans new and old. So check it out, spread the word of underground metal and leave some feedback. See you on the road!"
To check out Darkness In The Light in its entirety, point your browser HERE. The stream will run from June 20 to July 5, the day the record hits streets.

With Darkness In The Light, the quintet have delivered their most honest and powerful statement to date, setting a new standard when it comes to marrying precision brute force and exhilarating melody. Fangoria.com commended the band in an advance review noting: "Tight riffing, varying from technical pedal-style patternsto twin-harmony Maiden/At The Gates worship, plus all the brutally chugging breakdowns, will surely serve to inspire many a karate kick in the pits come tour time. This is definitely music to move by... " Pit Riff said Darkness In The Light is, "powerful, has the right amount of grab to it, and definitely has the spit-filled rage lyrically that this kind of music once possessed before being softened for the mall kids, " while Crave added: "Darkness In The Light is a first rate slice of metal that helps return the meat to the hollowed and empty husk of the metalcore genre." Said Decibel of the band's unwavering vitality: "Whether they're tearing up a club at a headlining gig, opening for another band on a few square feet of stage space or blasting through headphones, that unmistakable energy is always there."

Several discounted pre-order deals for Darkness In The Light are still available. Packages include:

THIS CENTURY ONE OF ALTERNATIVE PRESS' '100 BANDS YOU NEED TO KNOW IN 2011' TO HEADLINE THE YOUNG & USELESS TOUR WITH GUESTS AUSTIN GIBBS AND CARTER HULSEY; TOUR KICKS OFF JULY 7 IN SCOTTSDALE, AZ

Phoenix, AZ’s This Century is hitting the road as headliner on The Young & Useless Tour with guests Austin Gibbs and Carter Hulsey. The trek kicks off on July 7 in Scottsdale, AZ and winds down on August 6 in San Diego, CA.

Formed while most of the members were still in high school, This Century has gone on to perform on the Vans Warped Tour and Bamboozle Left, as well as on tours with such acts as Good Charlotte, The Maine, Forever the Sickest Kids, Never Shout Never, Hey Monday and many more.

The band, named one of AP’s “100 Bands You Need to Know in 2011”, will be playing songs off all of their releases including their most recent, Sound of Fire, on Warner imprint, Action Theory Records, which debuted in the top 40 on iTunes. Front man Joel Kanitz says, “On this tour we're finally getting a chance to do what we want creatively with the show. We get the chance to make it an actual production rather than just play a 30 minute set. Fans can expect to see a lot more from us visually and they'll hear more songs than what they're used to with typical a TC show. Besides all of that, we'll be sticking around after the shows so we can hang and meet everyone. Should be a lot of fun!”

MUNICIPAL WASTE SIGNS WITH NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS!

Undisputed masters of the crossover genre, Richmond, Virginia’s MUNICIPAL WASTE are proud to announce their new worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast Records.

On their way to devastate the Mainstage 02 at Hellfest Open Air in France this Saturday, June 18th, WASTE members check in about their big announcement:

“It took a real long time to decide what we were going to do for our next record,” states WASTE frontman Tony Foresta. “We wanted to work with a label that were not only fans of the band and our music, but were willing to get behind any ridiculous idea that we could think of. Once we realized this, Nuclear Blast was the obvious choice. The Blast has been friends with the band long before doing a record was even a possibility. I feel like we’re starting off with a clean slate and decade of experience to start back up on the right track. Expect some great things in the near future from the WASTE. This is only the beginning!”

"Nuclear Blast has shown their love for the WASTE for years,” drummer Dave Witte continues. “And when it came time for a new deal, it was a no brainer in my eyes. NB all the way. We are thrilled to be included among a roster of great bands and hard working people that love them. I can't wait to get into that studio!"

Gerardo Martínez, long-time MUNICIPAL WASTE fan and Label Manager of Nuclear Blast USA, comments on the newest members of the Nuclear Blast Family:

“We’ve known the WASTE guys for some time and when the moment was right to bring them on board, we did not hesitate one second. They are the best and most relevant band at what they do, and a pleasure to be around… not to mention they are some of the funniest and down-to-earth people we’ve met. The excitement level for a new MUNICIPAL WASTE record is at its highest and we are ready to deliver this to the masses!”

The WASTE will be entering the studio this summer to record their fifth full-length album and Nuclear Blast debut in their hell-bent quests for infectious riffs and never-ending headbanging sessions. A 2012 release is expected.
