12 STONES SET TO LAUNCH U.S. TOUR WITH SALIVA AND ROYAL BLISS

To get fans ready for the May 22 release of their fourth album, BENEATH THE SCARS (Executive Music Group label via Fontana/Universal), 12 STONES is hitting the road with Saliva and Royal Bliss starting April 18 in West Springfield, VA.

For BENEATH THE SCARS, the New Orleans band joined forces, once again, with producer Skidd Mills (Saving Abel, Skillet, Saliva), who had previously worked with 12 STONES on 2007’s ANTHEM FOR THE UNDERDOG. The first single, “Infected,” mixed by Johnny K (3 Doors Down, Disturbed, Staind), is spinning on Active Rock stations nationwide and is available for download on iTunes and Amazon. Fans who pre-order the album from band’s official website (
www.12stones.com) will have early download access to six songs. The rest of the album will then be made available on May 22.

A lyric video for “Infected” can be seen here:
http://bit.ly/A5Jv2y. As singer Paul McCoy explains, “The song was written about the messed up state of the world. It speaks about how crazy these times are, and about being fed up with the chaos and hatred.”

Check out 12 STONES at any of the following stops, with more dates being added in the coming days. Fans should check any of the band’s websites for updated information.

EPICA & ORIGINAL BASSIST PART WAYS; REPLACEMENT ANNOUNCED

Dutch symphonic metal band EPICA have issued the following statement:

“It is with sadness that we announce that Yves Huts and EPICA have decided to part ways. Yves has been with us from the start and has been of great value to the band. We thank Yves for his contribution to EPICA's success and wish him the very best in his future career, whether musically or in a different direction. We will never forget the good times together on the road!”

Former EPICA bassist Yves Hut shares:

"The 013 in Tilburg is the venue where we did our first show with EPICA and, almost a decade later, also my last. I’m leaving the band because I have another career opportunity that is not combinable with the schedule of a world-touring band. I’ve tried to live these two different lives simultaneously for as long as I could, but in the end I just had to make a choice, one of the most difficult ones in my life. I look back to these 10 years in EPICA satisfied and enriched with life experience. As a founding member, I’m proud of what we’ve achieved so far and I’m sure the future has a lot more great things in store for the band. I would like to thank the band, crew, fans and everybody else involved for the good times and I wish my successor good luck. Those of you that might be interested in any possible future musical plans of mine can visit my artist page on www.facebook.com/yves.huts.official. Kind regards."

EPICA members go on to say:

“The silver lining to this cloud is that we can already announce an awesome successor. Fulfilling duties on bass from now on will be none other than Rob van der Loo. You might know Rob from his work with MaYaN or Delain. We are sure that Rob will fit perfectly as a musician and as a person, and we are looking forward to share the stage for the first time next week.”

Current MaYan / new EPICA bassist Rob van der Loo adds:

"A few days ago I spoke to Yves and he brought back a memory from the time when EPICA was still just a support band for one of my former bands. At that time, he would never have guessed that almost ten years later I'd be his successor in EPICA.... Well, neither did I... but I'm damn proud of it! I've been sharing the stage with the people of EPICA for almost ten years now, and becoming a member of MaYaN last year brought us even closer. So making this decision to join EPICA feels pretty good, therefore, I want to show my gratitude to the band members (including Yves) and the crew for allowing me in the EPICA family! See you guys on the road! I won't let you down!"

Visit Rob van der Loo’s artist page at www.facebook.com/RobvanderLooOfficial.

Requiem For The Indifferent, EPICA’s sixth studio album just released in North America on March 13th, debuted at #104 on the Billboard Top 200. The band will be headlining Day 1 of the ProgPower XIII festival in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday, September 14th.

LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM Taking His Solo Act On The Road Starting May 3 In Solana Beach, CA

Legendary guitarist, singer/songwriter/producer, Grammy® Award winner and Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame member LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM is gearing up for a new round of tour dates beginning May 3 in Solana Beach, CA and concluding Monday, May 21 in Spokane, WA. More shows throughout the U.S. will be announced in the coming weeks.

In his intimate-one-man show, Lindsey will showcase his distinctive guitar picking style and instantly recognizable voice in his usual awe inspiring form, captivating his audience with songs from his recent album, Seeds We Sow as well as performing a combination of favorites from his previous solo albums, along with a variety of Fleetwood Mac classics.

Regarding the new tour Buckingham says, "As I've grown as an artist, I've gotten more and more in touch with my center, and that center is voice and guitar. Over time it has become increasingly vital to express more with less; that is my touchstone now, and the embodiment of that philosophy is what will be largely represented in the new show. I've been thinking of doing this kind of tour for a while, and am quite excited to be doing something new, something outside my comfort zone."

NEW DATES ANNOUNCED FOR THE ROB ZOMBIE/MEGADETH MAY 2012 TOUR

The wait is over, Zombie lovers! Rob Zombie has announced that he and his band of maniacs - John 5, Piggy D and Ginger Fish - will enter the studio on June 1 to begin recording the next chapter in the Zombie musical legacy. This new, as yet untitled CD is set for a late 2012 release.

"It has been way, and I mean way too long without any new music. I am dying to get back to it," said Zombie. "I have not felt this much excitement within the band since recording the first Hellbilly Deluxe record almost 15 years ago. We have been working on tons of songs for quite some time and I can safely say this will definitely be our best record yet."

Before Lord Zombie and his band begin recording, they will hit the highway on a co-headline tour with metal legends Megadeth, marking the first time the two bands have toured together since the early '90s.

"This tour should be a blast," said Zombie. "I haven't shared a bill with Megadeth since way back in the early days of White Zombie, so this trek is long overdue."

Two new dates have been added to the U.S. trek - May 13 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD, and May 19 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in St. Louis, MO. The tour, which kicks off Friday, May 11 in Holmdel, NJ will encompass high-profile appearances at several rock festivals, including Rock On The Range (May 20) that Zombie will co-headline with Incubus, and Rocklahoma (May 26) that Zombie will headline. Zombie will bring his full, explosive stage show out in full force on these dates, and audiences will get what they expect - a true rock and roll spectacle at its finest. Zombie will close all shows on the Megadeth dates.

For these Zombie/Megadeth dates, Rob Zombie has teamed up with The One and Only to make available special VIP Golden Tickets. Two packages have been created to help insure that fans have an unforgettable experience at the show.

Package One includes a GA ticket to the show, priority early entry to help guarantee a great spot for the show, a customized Zombie Bag, limited edition poster, an exclusive-to-the-tour T-shirt, a commemorative VIP laminate, and Golden Ticket Rep Concierge Service. Package Two includes everything in Package One, PLUS a meet'n'greet with Rob Zombie, a high-quality photograph with Rob, and a Rob Zombie autograph. For more information on the Rob Zombie One and Only VIP Golden Tickets - OR - if you've already purchased a ticket for the show and would like to upgrade to one of these VIP packages, log onto robzombie.com.

Zombie's latest film, "The Lords of Salem," is currently in the final stages of post-production and promises to be Zombie's most insane film yet. "I am enjoying taking my time finishing this film. I hate rushing things at this stage of the process, so it is a luxury to take it slow and really fine-tune every part of the production," stated Zombie. No release date is set yet for the film.

Confirmed dates for the Rob Zombie/Megadeth U.S. tour are as follows:

BLACK SHAPE OF NEXUS: German Sludge Outfit's Third LP Oozes Towards Release

Hailing from the German city of Mannheim, sludge devastators BLACK SHAPE OF NEXUS, having recently signed with Exile On Mainstream, are preparing for the release of their upcoming third full-length Negative Black.

Recorded in the Winter of 2011 and twisted into shape at the mighty Tonmeisterei Studio, Negative Black -- an album four years in the making -- marks a new step for BLACK SHAPE OF NEXUS, carving a path into their foreseeable future. The album has been eagerly awaited by BSON's diehard cult fanbase and underground doom/sludge aficionados since the release of their bruising 2008-released Microbarome Meetings 2xLP. While the outfit already bears the reputation for unfurling some of the most destructive but still coherently-flowing sludge metal available, incorporating outside elements of crust, black metal and ambient/soundscape persuasion at times, Negative Black surges to even deeper caverns of auditory obliteration, pummeling you with painfully slow doom and finishing you off with acrid, harsh drones, and giving down-tempo a whole new meaning.

BLACK SHAPE OF NEXUS shall release Negative Black in North America on June 5th Anno Domini, the beast surging with nearly eighty minutes of material over seven supremely suffocating hymns. It will be made available to fans on CD in a matte-varnished 6-panel digifile, a 2xLP format with inside/out printed gatefold cover, and deluxe digital download. Check out the cover art HERE.

Stone Sour Enter Studio

Stone Sour, the Gold-certified, Grammy-nominated rock band, are proud to announce that they have begun recording their fourth album for longtime label Roadrunner Records. With most of the new record already written, the band has headed into Sound Farm Studios just outside of their native Des Moines, Iowa with producer David Bottrill (Tool, Muse, Staind). The album is expected in the Fall of 2012, two years after the band's most recent longplayer Audio Secrecy, which debuted at position No. 6 on the Billboard chart and No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes Rock Album chart. It scored the highest international debuts of the band’s career, including Top 5 charts in Germany, Japan and Austria, and Top 10 in the U.K. and Australia.

Audio Secrecy also yielded the worldwide No. 1 smash single "Say You'll Haunt Me," which sat atop the Active Rock chart for eight straight weeks, and was the No.1 Mainstream Rock Song of the Year in 2010 and a top 10 Active Rock song. Stone Sour released Audio Secrecy to much acclaim, including magazine cover features for Revolver and Guitar Edge along with placements in Vice, Inked, Huffington Post, SPIN and more. The band also performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! during the album cycle.

Now, they are preparing to make their much-anticipated return and the table is being set for another breakthrough performance from Stone Sour.

"This album will be another progression for the band," stated guitarist Josh Rand. "Musically, we have always challenged one another to push things to our limits, and this record is no exception." Rand also shared some details about the album's lyrical and storytelling narrative, saying, "Lyrically, the album follows one character to that complex moment in his life, when he finally has to decide which path to take. It's a spiritual and moral power play for control of what this man will be for the rest of his life. Each song will tell the story from different sides of the character's personality, with the listener ultimately deciding how the story ends."

To get fans excited for the next chapter of Stone Sour, Roadrunner will be giving away a digital copy of "The Pessimist," which appeared on the Transformers 3 soundtrack via iTunes. You can go here to grab the song.

INSOMNIUM launches new video for "Regain The Fire"

INSOMNIUM's fifth album, One For Sorrow , was one of the metal highlights of 2011: a perfect blend of melancholy and melody. Now "Finland's finest miserablists" (as described by Terrorizer) present their second video from the album, "Regain The Fire"! Like their first video for "Through The Shadows", this clip was produced by their Finnish friends Obscure Entertainment from Tampere.

In regards to the video and their upcoming tour with label-mates PARADISE LOST, the band comments: "Our new video 'Regain the Fire' was shot already in last July so it still features our old guitarist Ville Vänni. The video is done by Obscure Entertainment who is responsible for all our videos since 2006. This time we also have a story line amidst the moshing so this is a bit different than previous works. Go and watch the video and judge it yourself! We are really excited to hit the UK together with PARADISE LOST. They are one of those bands which we liked already as teens so it really feels strange that we are getting in a same tour bus with them. We haven't toured UK properly since 2009 so it's high time to deliver some goodies for the Britons. So remember, there is no excuse for not showing up!"

HEADSPACE signs worldwide deal with InsideOut Music; debut album "I Am Anonymous" to be released in spring

InsideOut Music is proud to announce the worldwide signing of the progressive metal band HEADSPACE.

HEADSPACE keyboardist Adam Wakeman (also of OZZY OSBOURNE, and son of YES' Rick Wakeman) comments about the signing: "We are so pleased to be joining forces with InsideOut. We have spent a long time making sure that this album is exactly how we want it; and to have a label behind us that fully understands where the band is coming from and what we're about is incredibly important to us. It's a perfect match."

The band began as a way for Wakeman and a close circle of his musician friends to reconnect. There were no preconceptions of launching a progressive metal band, and certainly no visions of grandeur-- they just played music that they loved. "We're quite open about our influences because that's the music that we love," the band comments. "There's RUSH, YES, GENESIS, a lot of bands. We even give a tip of the hat to DREAM THEATER in a few sections. That's all a part of what we are."

This impromptu collaboration amongst friends quickly turned into something more serious, leading to the official formation of HEADSPACE and the completion of their debut album, I Am Anonymous, which will soon be released through InsideOut Music. In regards to I Am Anonymous, the band comments: "Indeed, with players like keyboardist Adam Wakeman, vocalist Damian Wilson (THRESHOLD, ARJEN LUCASSEN), bassist Lee Pomeroy (Rick Wakeman's ERE, IT BITES), HEADSPACE is destined to go in an 'unashamedly prog' direction. People may be surprised to find, however, that for a band led by a keyboardist and vocalist---at least on paper---'I Am Anonymous' is a heavily guitar-oriented record."

Guitarist Pete Rinaldi and drummer Richard Brook round-out the band's line-up, making HEADSPACE a progressive metal powerhouse in the music world. Look out for their debut, I Am Anonymous, coming this spring!

HEADSPACE line-up:
Adam Wakeman - keyboards
Damian Wilson - vocals
Pete Rinaldi - guitars
Lee Pomeroy - bass
Richard Brook - drums
