NEW DATES ANNOUNCED FOR THE ROB ZOMBIE/MEGADETH MAY 2012 TOUR

The wait is over, Zombie lovers! Rob Zombie has announced that he and his band of maniacs - John 5, Piggy D and Ginger Fish - will enter the studio on June 1 to begin recording the next chapter in the Zombie musical legacy. This new, as yet untitled CD is set for a late 2012 release.

"It has been way, and I mean way too long without any new music. I am dying to get back to it," said Zombie. "I have not felt this much excitement within the band since recording the first Hellbilly Deluxe record almost 15 years ago. We have been working on tons of songs for quite some time and I can safely say this will definitely be our best record yet."

Before Lord Zombie and his band begin recording, they will hit the highway on a co-headline tour with metal legends Megadeth, marking the first time the two bands have toured together since the early '90s.

"This tour should be a blast," said Zombie. "I haven't shared a bill with Megadeth since way back in the early days of White Zombie, so this trek is long overdue."

Two new dates have been added to the U.S. trek - May 13 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD, and May 19 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in St. Louis, MO. The tour, which kicks off Friday, May 11 in Holmdel, NJ will encompass high-profile appearances at several rock festivals, including Rock On The Range (May 20) that Zombie will co-headline with Incubus, and Rocklahoma (May 26) that Zombie will headline. Zombie will bring his full, explosive stage show out in full force on these dates, and audiences will get what they expect - a true rock and roll spectacle at its finest. Zombie will close all shows on the Megadeth dates.

For these Zombie/Megadeth dates, Rob Zombie has teamed up with The One and Only to make available special VIP Golden Tickets. Two packages have been created to help insure that fans have an unforgettable experience at the show.

Package One includes a GA ticket to the show, priority early entry to help guarantee a great spot for the show, a customized Zombie Bag, limited edition poster, an exclusive-to-the-tour T-shirt, a commemorative VIP laminate, and Golden Ticket Rep Concierge Service. Package Two includes everything in Package One, PLUS a meet'n'greet with Rob Zombie, a high-quality photograph with Rob, and a Rob Zombie autograph. For more information on the Rob Zombie One and Only VIP Golden Tickets - OR - if you've already purchased a ticket for the show and would like to upgrade to one of these VIP packages, log onto robzombie.com.

Zombie's latest film, "The Lords of Salem," is currently in the final stages of post-production and promises to be Zombie's most insane film yet. "I am enjoying taking my time finishing this film. I hate rushing things at this stage of the process, so it is a luxury to take it slow and really fine-tune every part of the production," stated Zombie. No release date is set yet for the film.

Rob Zombie, Megadeth Announce Co-Headline Tour

ROB ZOMBIE and MEGADETH have just announced a co-headlining tour guaranteed to raise the temperature on the planet. The trek, which marks the first time the two bands have toured together, kicks off Friday, May 11 in Holmdel, NJ and encompasses high-profile appearances at several rock festivals, including Rock On The Range and Rocklahoma. Rob Zombie will headline Rocklahoma, co-line (with Incubus) Rock On The Range, and will close all shows on the Megadeth dates. The tour wraps Saturday, March 26 at Rocklahoma - a list of confirmed dates is below. To purchase tickets, visit www.robzombie.com

The tour will come on the heels of Megadeth's critically acclaimed return of the traveling festival Gigantour, created and curated by frontman Dave Mustaine. Rave reviews have poured in for the festival, which also features Motorhead, Volbeat and Lacuna Coil. "The return of Gigantour, a nicely curated package tour of heavy metal bands, is just one more step in a great run underway by Megadeth," wrote the Boston Globe. "It was a smart and well-paced show, one that illuminated metal's various angles (1/31/12)."

2011 also marked the release of Megadeth's 13th album, the appropriately titled TH1RT3EN. Released November 1 on Roadrunner Records, the album debuted at #11 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and #1 on the Billboard Hard Rock chart. The album also landed on international charts including Top 10 placements in Argentina, Finland, Korea and Japan. Megadeth - Mustaine, drummer Shawn Drover, guitarist Chris Broderick and bassist David Ellefson - also received their tenth Grammy nomination for this project, earning a "Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Performance" nomination for their single "Public Enemy #1." The "Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Performance" category was eerily, category #13.

This will be Rob Zombie's first concert tour since last summer's "Hell on Earth" co-headline trek with Slayer. Zombie spent last fall and winter shooting his sixth feature film, "The Lords of Salem" that he wrote and directed and is making with the producers of the "Paranormal Activity" franchise. With principal photography completed, the film is currently in post-production.

Never one to play it safe, Zombie - with guitarist John 5, bassist Piggy D, and Ginger Fish on drums - will bring his legendary stage show out in full force on these dates. Audiences will get what they expect from a Rob Zombie show - an amped-up, non-stop barrage of sin, sex and Satan guaranteed to rip your face off, a true rock and roll spectacle at its finest.

With more than 15 million albums sold, seven Grammy nominations, the helming of five major motion pictures (including the #1 record-breaking "Halloween"), dozens of music videos, TV shows and last summer's strangely celebrated "Woolite" TV commercial where he showed the hidden terrors of doing laundry, Zombie is truly a force to be reckoned with in today's entertainment landscape. For over 25 years, his unique meld of horror and hard rock has influenced his sound as a musician, and his vision as a director and writer. Plans are for a new Rob Zombie album to be completed later this year.

SLAYER AND ROB ZOMBIE TO BRING HELL ON EARTH TO NORTH AMERICA

The Two Metal Icons Will Together for the First Time in More than a Decade

Get ready for hell on earth, because for the first time since they tour together on Ozzfest 1999, Rob Zombie and Slayer are teaming up to hit the road, bringing a glorious purgatory to fans in 12 North American cities. The co-headline trek kicks off Wednesday, July 20 at the Sovereign Center in Reading, PA.  Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 1 at 10:00AM local time.  Tickets for all shows are available at the venues' box office, and via the online outlets as listed below.

"We haven't toured with Zombie since Ozzfest 1999, so you can expect no less than 'hell on earth,'" said Slayer's Kerry King.  "Total sonic annihilation and a visual bludgeoning.  Bring your own body bag..."

"Total destruction on stage and off is what this combination promises," states Zombie, "Seriously, how much more Hell could you ask for? The answer is none more Hell."

Both Zombie and Slayer will present their full headline sets at every show, and both bands will close shows over the course of the tour.  San Francisco's thrash-metal band Exodus has been confirmed to open all shows.

Slayer has been performing its classic 1990 Seasons In the Abyss album in its entirety over the past several months, but will instead draw from its entire 30-year catalogue for this tour's setlist.

Never one to play it safe, Zombie will be bringing his legendary stage show out in full force. Audiences can expect an exploding non-stop barrage of sin, sex and Satan guaranteed to rip your face off. This a true rock and roll spectacle at its finest.

Rob Zombie: With more than 15 million albums sold, seven Grammy nominations, the helming of five major motion pictures (including the #1 record-breaking "Halloween") and dozens of music videos under his belt, Zombie is truly a force to be reckoned with in today's entertainment landscape.  For over 25 years his unique meld of horror and hard rock has influenced his sound as a musician, and more recently, his vision as a director and writer.  After the tour, Zombie will be starting production on his sixth feature film, "The Lords of Salem," with the producers of the Paranormal Activity franchise.

Slayer:  The Chicago Tribune's Greg Kot wrote that the  four-time-nominated, two-time Grammy winning Slayer is "one of the great American rock bands of the last 30 years, forget about genre."  Indeed, few bands come close to matching the intensity that Slayer brings to its live shows, having been named "Best Live Band" by numerous media outlets including Revolver, SPIN, and Metal Hammer.  With songs that mirror the turmoil and aberrations of our society - God's terrifying global genocide, the chaos of our broken political system, chemical warfare, the hideous minds of serial killers, and the way-too-close proximity of world horrors that technology has brought us, Slayer remains crushing and brutal, steadfastly refusing to cater to the Mainstream.
