THE SAFETY FIRE announces release date change, pre-orders for new album, “Grind Th e Ocean”; ready to tour with PROTEST THE HE RO, PERIPHERY, JEFF LOOMIS

Originally set to be released in late February via Inside Out Music, THE SAFETY FIRE's debut full-length, Grind The Ocean, is now due out on April 9th in the UK and April 10th in North America. In regards to this release date change, the band comments:

"Unfortunately we are sad to announce that the official release of our album 'Grind the Ocean' has been delayed until April 2012 in the UK and US. Our team and label have been doing some amazing work over the past few months, and feel that delaying the official release, will give us some great opportunities- There will be new content released over the coming months, so keep your eyes open...Please note the release in other (territories) are unaffected and will be available online and in shops."

"HOWEVER, we wanted there to be some good news for our friends in the UK & US, so we are very happy to announce a special pre-order for YOU the fans which will be released on the original date of February 27th. Those of you who pre-order will not only have the album just over a month before it is available in shops in the UK and US, it will also feature additional bonus content in a special digipack release! The band will also join PROTEST THE HERO, PERIPHERY, JEFF LOOMIS, and TODAY I CAUGHT THE PLAGUE on the road this spring for THE SAFETY FIRE's first tour of North America! In regards to the tour, guitarist Derya "Dez" Nagle comments: "We are super hyped to come to the US, especially with such an amazing lineup. We are huge fans of all the bands playing and feel they all bring their own unique vibe to what should be an amazing tour. It's our first time to the US, and we are ready to bring the ruckus/party."
