MNEMIC: FIRST VIDEO BLOG FROM THE STUDIO NOW ONLINE

Danish modern metallers MNEMIC have recently entered the Antfarm Studios in Aabyhøj, Denmark with long-time producer Tue Madsen (Behemoth, The Haunted, Threat Signal) to record their fifth as-yet-untitled new album and have captured their work-in-progress on video. Check out the first episode with new drummer Brian Larsen pounding out his parts here.

The MNEMIC camp checks-in:

“One week ago we entered Antfarm Studios - right before the black metal winter kicked in - here in Scandinavia. It's an awesome and great feeling being back working together with our friend, uncle, and long-time producer Tue Madsen on a new MNEMIC album. More the fact that we all are gathered in the same house (with dogs, girlfriends and homies we haven't seen in a while)... it makes it all like one big happy family. We'll try to keep you all updated as much as we can, with some video footage from our workspace. So far we've tracked the drums. We are on to the guitars at the moment, later on the bass, samples, and you know the rest. We have some working titles for some of the songs already:

-EMPTY PLANET

-HAVEN AT THE END OF THE WORLD

-VALVES

-BLUE DESERT IN A BLACK HOLE

-TRANSCEND

-JUNKIES ON THE STORM

“If you specifically want to know something about our recording process, post a comment on the MNEMIC Facebook page and we'll try to include it in the next video blog. Stay tuned for more during the coming weeks! From the MNEMIC camp, we salute y'all!"

MNEMIC 2012 is:
Guillaume Bideau - Vocals
Mircea Gabriel Eftemie - Guitar
Victor-Ray Salomonsen - Guitar
Simone Bertozzi - Bass
Brian Larsen - Drums

Sons Of The System, MNEMIC’s fourth studio album, debuted at No. 64 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart in February 2010. Sons Of The System was recorded at MNEMIC's own studio and at the Antfarm facility in Aarhus, Denmark with Danish producer Tue Madsen (Kataklysm, The Haunted, Behemoth, Halford) - who also worked on the MNEMIC’s 2003 release Mechanical Spin Phenomena and The Audio Injected Soul in 2004.
