British progressive metal band THRESHOLD have announced March Of Progress as the name of their 10th studio album due for release through Nuclear Blast Records in 2012.

Working song titles include: “Ashes,” “Return Of The Thought Police,” “Colophon,” “Staring at the Sun,” “Liberty Complacency Dependency,” “Divinity,” “The Hours,” “Don't Look Down,” “That's Why we Came,” “The Rubicon,” and “Coda.”

Rammstein's "Made In Germany 1995-2011" Available Tomorrow; Guitarist Paul Landers Discusses Forthcoming Tour

As Rammstein celebrates the release of their first retrospective album, Made in Germany 1995 - 2011 (the 16-track, re-mastered collection is available tomorrow, Dec. 13, via Universal Germany through a distribution deal with Vagrant Records), guitarist Paul Landers hints at what fans can expect from the stage savvy band's forthcoming North American tour.

"It's always a major challenge for us to build a new show," explains Landers. "It starts with a tiny crew and ends up with 23 trucks. We do try to keep it minimal, but it always becomes more rather than less. It's not our fault, we're natural show-offs. "

Rammstein has become known the world over for their incendiary and decadent live performances. Fans by the tens of thousands regularly fill arenas and stadiums to take part in what is a wholly unique experience that blends the band's bombastic music with a pyrotechnic-laden, rock music wonderland. The Los Angeles Times smartly described a Rammstein show as "... epic stagecraft on a Wagnerian scale, several notches up from most arena rock."

A glimpse of Rammstein's live performances and the full tour dates for the Made in Germany 2012 tour: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuzELOfzhYY

With Made in Germany 1995 - 2011's track list (available below) opening up a number of live possibilities, Landers was coy about what songs would be included: "If I tell you, there won't be any surprises... all I can say is, we tried to incorporate a good mix of all of our work. The band is really enjoying what we are doing and it's kind of scary how well everything is going. We are looking forward to the American audience because..." Tour dates are listed below with all shows on-sale now.

Made in Germany 1995 - 2011 is available in three different editions:

* Standard Edition: CD Digipak - Best of Album

* Special Edition: 2-CD Digipak - Best of Album and Best of Remixes

* Super Deluxe Edition: 2-CD (Best of Album and Best of Remixes) as well as 3 DVDs (including the full Rammstein video catalog, all previously available "Making of" and 8 unreleased "Making of" videos) packaged in a steel box complete with a 240-page booklet. Limited to 1200 copies in the US.

Made in Germany 1995-2011 also includes the new single "Mein Land." A video for the song was released mid-November and finds Rammstein embracing and then modernizing the beach party film genre.

ALMAH To Release Third Album Via AFM Records

Formed by Angra vocalist Edu Falaschi over a decade ago, Brazilian metal act ALMAH have transformed from simply a side-project of the top-tier power metal act into an expansive entity of its own volition, language and identity. AFM Records now confirms that Motion, ALMAH's third full-length, will be available to North American fans on January 17th, 2012.

ALMAH's first two studio albums -- Almah (2007) and Fragile Equality (2008) -- were accepted well both by fans and media alike. With Edu Falaschi being known for choosing excellent musicians and production crew for the creation of their releases, the lineup on Motion will not disappoint. Falaschi's Angra bandmate Felipe Andreoli joins on bass, as well as Berklee-graduated guitar wizard Marcelo Barbosa, powerhouse drummer Marcelo Moreira and a master of fast solos and gargantuan riffs, Paulo Schroeber.

The musicians tread into more modern territory while keeping ALMAH’s recognizable style intact on Motion. Recorded with 7-string guitars, tuned a half-step down (B flat), while the rhythm guitars were layered four times, the band has reached their optimal balance of heavy, modern metal and beautiful, catchy melodies. Edu Falaschi has already stated that this album is probably the best one in his whole discography. Motion was recorded at Norcal Studios in São Paulo, Brazil produced by Falaschi and Andreoli, and mixed and mastered at Split Second Sound Studios in Amsterdam by Jochem Jacobs (Textures). The cover artwork was created by Edu Falaschi himself with his iPhone, using some applications to create that motion effect, which was later edited by Felipe Andreoli. Check out the cover art and more at this location.

Motion Track Listing:

1. Hypnotized

2. Living And Drifting

3. Days Of The New

4. Bullets On The Altar

5. Zombies Dictator

6. Trace Of Trait

7. Soul Alight

8. Late Night In ´85

9. Daydream Lucidity

BLACK SKIES Tour Wrap-up; Live Footage Posted

Heavy rock trio BLACK SKIES recently returned from a 16-date North American tour. Commented the band in a collective statement:

"Thanks a ton to MAKE & Vaz for joining us on parts of this last run. Getting to play with bands you enjoy not only musically, but also as people really makes the whole experience that much better. Thanks also to all the venues, promoters, and other bands for helping make this such an enjoyable time. Thanks to Mother Nature for being cooperative and allowing us and our friends to travel safely. Most importantly, thanks to all of those who came to the shows and supported us by buying merch, giving us places to stay, etc. You are the reason we can do this.

This was the last tour we'll be doing for a while, as we plan to take a break from touring over the next several months to focus on writing and other obligations not related to the band. With that in mind, having a good trip before this break was something very important to us, so thanks again to everyone who made it possible. We'll see you soon with new songs. Until then, take care and be good to each other!"

Check out some live footage of the band (courtesy of Dan Andrews of Trickledown Productions) HERE.

BLACK SKIES have been tuning down and turning up since late 2005, constantly evolving their aural offerings of psychedelic sludge. With a combination of the foreboding heaviness of blues based proto-metal, the spry attitude and approach of punk, and the dynamics of progressive rock, their songs often project a dark and urgent energy. The band's
recently released On The Wings Of Time full-length is currently available on digital download cards included with the purchase of a limited edition, silk-screened poster. A CD version with alternate cover art is also available. Check the band's website for further info. You can also check out the record in its entirety at official BLACK SKIES BandCamp page." Said Creative Loafing of On The Wings Of Time: "BLACK SKIES play like an amped-up version of Sleep: think stoner metal on a caffeine bender. It's visceral hard rock defined by low-end, hypnotic riffing." Added The Kalidiaries: "On the Wings of Time is a head banging punk rock ear fest with a lovely heavy grunge metal tinge... It's a loud cacophony of guitars with understated vocals. It's music to lose yourself in."

Puscifer, the eclectic music-meets-comedy troupe helmed by Maynard James Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle), return to the road on Feb. 23 in support of their recently released album, Conditions of My Parole (Oct. 18, Puscifer Entertainment).

The band's live performances are not to be missed. Keenan brings the unconventional atmosphere of the Verde Valley to life with a musically driven evening that merges technology, quirky characters and comedy, The Boston Globe referred to the shows as "musical theater" and the Philadelphia Weekly described the set as an "engaging performance with hilarious pre-recorded between-song skits featuring MJK alter-egos Major Douche and white-trash hero Billy D." The band celebrated the release of their sophomore album with an in-character Halloween performance on The Late Show with David Letterman.

Puscifer's touring band members are Maynard James Keenan, Mat Mitchell, Josh Eustis, Carina Round, Matt McJunkins and Jeff Friedl.

EARTH Announce New Album Details

The second half of Seattle drone icons EARTH's Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light is being prepared for release on Southern Lord in North America this February 14th on CD, LP and digital download formats.

Recorded in the same two week session as 2011's lauded Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light I by Stuart Hallerman at Avast and mastered by Mell Detmer, Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light II carries on in the freely and folkloric vein of the last release and invokes even more improvisational and unrestrained energy than its predecessor.

Angels Of Darkness, Demons Of Light II is striking in many ways, not least in the wildly improvised nature of this particular recording. The songs "Sigil Of Brass" and "The Corascene Dog" perfectly emphasize how the interplay between the foursome has evolved even further since the first installment. Meanwhile, the track "His Teeth Did Brightly Shine" veers further into an entirely other direction, recalling sounds of the great British Acid Folk generation. This new material brings forth some highly original and deeply mesmerizing tones throughout, at times more hopeful and less dark and death oriented than previous work. Angels Of Darkness, Demons Of Light II is ultimately a completely unanticipated direction for EARTH, and a very welcome one at that.

The line-up again consists of Adrienne Davies on drums and percussion (on this release there is more percussion of all sorts), Lori Goldston (Nirvana, David Byrne, Black Cat Orchestra, Laura Veirs) returns on cello, and Karl Blau (K Records, Laura Veirs, Microphones) plays bass. This also marks the first time the band on the record has toured outside of the US West Coast in preparation for the album. As with the first part, it again has truly amazing artwork by Stacey Rozich. View the cover art and more at this location.

Angels Of Darkness, Demons Of Light II Track Listing:

1. Sigil of Brass

2. His Teeth Did Brightly Shine

3. Multiplicity of Doors

4. The Corascene Dog

5. The Rakehell

Season of Mist's NOTHNEGAL and MetalSucks.net Unveil New Track 'Janus' Today -- New Album 'Decadence' Hits Stores on January 24th, 2012 in the United States

Melodic progressive metal powerhouse NOTHNEGAL is teaming up with MetalSucks.net to bring you the exclusive premiere of their brand new track, ‘Janus’, cut from their upcoming January 24th, 2012 United States release, Decadence, through Season of Mist. Head to MetalSucks.net right now to listen to the track and stay tuned for a music video hitting the web soon!

“‘Janus’ is the third track from the album. It's got thrash, industrial, progressive and death metal elements so it would be hard to define the overall style of the song but gives an idea of the direction we have taken on Decadence,” states guitarist Hilarl. “This track is probably my favorite track off the album.”

Decadence is set to release in other major international markets four days earlier on January 20th, 2012. The album is mixed by Greg Reely (Fear Factory, Machine Head, DevilDriver) and Ahti Kortelainen (Sentenced, Sonarta Arctica). Decadence marks the first official full-length release from NOTHNEGAL.

Decadence is currently available for pre-order on Season of Mist's e-shop as a limited digipak edition. Each copy from the first pressing of the album will come with a unique code that can allow you to win a trip to the band’s stomping grounds… the Maldives! The 5-day journey will take place at the Fihalhohi Island Resort in Summer 2012. The winner will receive one return flight to the Maldives, an all-inclusive stay (including scuba-diving and other water sport activities) for two people and a meet and greet with the band. More details can be found in the booklet of the album.

NOTHNEGAL boasts a dark melancholic streak flowing through their modern melodic death metal sound, also weaving in very subtle touches of industrial and progressive elements. NOTHNEGAL was founded by guitarists (and cousins) Hilarl and Fufu on the capital island Malé in 2006 after leaving their previous group Mortuary. The cousins are supported by Six Feet Under, Dååth, ex-Chimaira drummer Kevin Talley and Finnish keyboard player Marco Sneck (Kalmah, Poisonblack). Decadence demonstrates a quick evolution of NOTHNEGAL from their previously released, self-produced four track EP. Mixed by Finnish producer Anssi Kippo (Children of Bodom, Norther), Antidote of Realism (2009) catapulted the Maldivians into the international scene, who successfully supported Finntroll and Samael during their 2010 European tour covering 25 cities in 12 countries.

Decadence is poised to position NOTHNEGAL above fan’s expectations for just another exotic, eclectic, foreign act, offering a melodic, yet crushing door into the minds of the men behind the helm. This may be the first time you are hearing about NOTHNEGAL, but it certainly will not be the last.

NOTHNEGAL is:

Fufu - Vocals / Guitars
Hilarl – Guitars
Hamad – Bass
Marco Sneck – Keyboards
Kevin Talley – Drums

THE DEVIL'S BLOOD Post New Video From The Thousandfold Epicentre Teaser Series

Today occult rock collective THE DEVIL'S BLOOD unveil a new video teaser from their forthcoming full-length, The Thousandfold Epicentre. The video is the second in a series of teasers leading up to the record's North American release on January 17, 2012. Each week a new video will be viewable via the band's official Metal Blade landing page.

Check out the clip for "Fire Burning" at THIS LOCATION.

THE DEVIL'S BLOOD is a dedication to principles and principals more ancient than Time, a branch of a tree greater than the World, an exclamation of both the profound and the profane. THE DEVIL'S BLOOD has always been one of the many vessels through which the Light of the Devil shines upon the darkness of the world and shall always be the possible entrance to a path walked alone. But only for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. This path starts not in understanding but in confusion.

UFOMAMMUT Complete Two-Part Neurot Recordings Debut

UFOMAMMUT, Northern Italy's sorcerers of supernatural and obliterating doom, have completed the recordings for their sixth full-length, and first as part of the Neurot Recordings family. This week we are beyond excited to announce the details of this highly anticipated, mammoth follow-up to their 2010 full-length Eve, the band's most critically-acclaimed and devastating piece of magic to date... until now.

Oro is the title for UFOMAMMUT's latest work, divided into ten massive movements overall
which is now confirmed to be delivered in two separate pieces during the coming year. The first chapter, Opus Primum, will see arrival in April, and the second, Opus Alter, in September. The vinyl versions of both chapters will be handled directly by UFOMAMMUT's own label Supernatural Cat Records, who were responsible for the release of all of the band's previous material. This is the third album in a row the band recorded with Lorenzo Stecconi.

As with all previous UFOMAMMUT albums, the concepts behind Oro are expansive and multi-faceted, mutating the Italian palindrome which translates to "gold" with the Latin translation of "I prey." Oro explores the concept of knowledge and its power; the magical stream controlled by the human mind to gain control of every single particle of the World surrounding us. Oro is the alchemical process to transform the human fears into pure essence; into Gold. Although Oro's two chapters will be released months apart from each other, they must be considered as a single track in which the musical themes and the sounds show up and hide, mutating and evolving, progressively and increasingly stratifying culminating in the crushing final movement. Oro is like an alchemic laboratory in which substances are flowing, dividing and blending themselves in ten increments from the alembics and stills, culminating into the creation of Gold. The band are also in the process of crafting a full video/visual version of Oro which will accompany the audio.

Since their inception in 1999, UFOMAMMUT has toured several times, and crossed the oceans to the United States for the first time in 2009 for a tour of the West Coast. They've performed at renowned, international music festivals including Roadburn, Hellfest, Ieper, Stoned from the Underground, Asymmetry, sharing the stage with Neurosis, Down, Amen Ra, Baroness, Sons Of Otis, Motorpsycho and endless more along the way. The band's live show is supported by the internationally acclaimed video and graphic art of Malleus, a rock artists’ collective who conjure the entirety of UFOMAMMUT’s visual impact.

2012 will see the band expanding their touring circles wider across the face of the planet in support of Oro. Stay tuned throughout the year as more details on the release and the act's tour schedule are confirmed.

UFOMAMMUT is:

Poia - guitars and effect
Urlo - bass, vocals and synths
Vita - drums
Ciccio - soundlord
Lu - visuals

KATAKLYSM FRONTMAN LAUNCHES CM-BACKED BOOKING AGENCY, ROCK THE NATION AMERICA

The North American metal scene just got a lot heavier. The launch of Rock The Nation America celebrates a groundbreaking booking agency partnership between Kataklysm frontman Maurizio Iacono, his agent and Canadian metal promoter Stephan Mellul, and Century Media Records.

Rock The Nation America will be focused on bringing the best names in heavy metal to North American audiences, while maintaining a razor-sharp focus on emerging acts and artist development. Iacono will capitalize on his decade as frontman of the Canadian death metal band Kataklysm as he heads the agency's artist relations efforts, while Mellul will build on his history as one of Canada's premier metal promoters and agents. Based out of the same Los Angeles offices that the Century Media and Nuclear Blast record labels call home, the pair will be supported by Century Media for all marketing and administrative needs.

"I spent the last 15 years touring and learning what being on the road is all about, and my partner, Stephan Mellul, has been booking shows for 18 years - together, we decided to bring something different to the industry," says Iacono. "We decided to create an agency that will help new artists develop, as well as preserve and grow the careers of established bands. I'm a soldier on the field, I understand the touring life, I still live it... and the fans deserve unselfish packages and lineups that are worth paying the ticket price. We thank Europe's premier agency, Rock The Nation, for joining forces."

"Rock The Nation going overseas was always a big wish of RTN Europe," says Stefan Hattinger, CEO of RTN Group Europe. "We found experienced and hard-working people in Maurizio and Steph who know the market and what the artists need, thus the right people to run Rock The Nation America."

At their launch, the Rock The Nation America roster contains more than two dozen acts spanning the extreme metal market, including Hammerfall, Hypocrisy, Kataklysm, Wintersun and more. The agency's first tour will be Paganfest USA Tour 2012, a package featuring worldwide metal acts Turisas (Finland), Alestorm (Scotland), Ex Deo (Rome), Arkona (Russia) and Huntress (USA) - a complete itinerary will be announced shortly.

"What really excites me about this agency is that it is a true metal organization," says Century Media founder Robert Kampf. "From metal agents, metal bookers and metal bands, straight to metal fans - when I heard of this I wanted nothing more than to be a part of it... Horns up!"

Soulfly to Release "Enslaved" in March

2012 will see the release of Enslaved, a brand new Soulfly album, which will be their eighth overall. While many bands barely make it to a third album, the Max Cavalera-led collective is still going strong two decades deep. 2012 also marks the band's 15th anniversary of making a tribally-influenced metallic racket and what better way to celebrate than with a new record?

The album will be released via longtime label Roadrunner Records, which has been Soulfly's home for the course of its career. The label has also been Cavalera's home for the duration of his career, which began in the '80s as a member of Sepultura, who essentially rewrote the rules of heavy music when they arrived on the scene; Max continues to do the same today.

The song remains insane for Soulfly, as does the lineup. The powerhouse lineup features Max and guitar dynamo Marc Rizzo, with Static-X's Tony Campos taking up the bass. The lineup is rounded out by drummer David Kinkade, a new school, extreme skinsman whose brutality behind the kit brings a new flavor to the band.

Enslaved was recorded at Tallcat Studios in Phoenix, Arizona and was produced by Zeuss, the seasoned knob twiddler behind some of the most notable bands in metal today, such as Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, The Red Chord and more. Cavalera also shared production duties.

As is customary with Soulfly, the band will introduce some new and unexpected elements into the mix, including a guest violinist. Soulfly also collaborates with two metal veterans: Dez Fafara of Devildriver and Travis Ryan of Cattle Decapitation. With Dez and Max sharing a longtime connection through the Roadrunner family, it was only a matter of time before Fafara guested on a Soulfly album. Meanwhile, Ryan said it was "an honor to receive a call from someone you had pictures of on your wall as a kid."

Cavalera also wrote a song "Revengeance" about his slain stepson Dana, whose death was the catalyst for the creation of Soulfly. He partners with his sons Igor and Richie on vocals, while his other son Zyon plays drums. It is the first time Max has performed with three of his sons.

The band tracked 14 songs, 11 of which will be on the record, with the other three being made available for the special edition. Track titles are as follows: "Resistance," "World Scum," "Intervention," "Gladiator," "Legions," "American Steel," "Redemption of Man By God," "Treachery," "Plata O Plomo," "Revengeance," "Chains," "Slave," "Bastards" and "Soulfly VIII." Please note this is not the final track sequencing.

The album is due out in March 13, 2012. It follows 2010's Omen.
