JOLLY ANNOUNCES CD RELEASE SHOW MARCH 5, 2011 AT ARLENE'S GROCERY IN NEW YORK CITY

NEW ALBUM "AUDIO GUIDE TO HAPPINESS (Part 1)" OUT MARCH 8th ON INSIDEOUT MUSIC

In anticipation of the release of their new album "The Audio Guide to Happiness (Part 1)" New York's JOLLY have scheduled a CD release show on Saturday March 5th. The show will be held at Arlene's Grocery which is located at 95 Stanton St in New York City. The band will be playing a full set featuring tracks from their new release which is in stores March 8 on InsideOut Music.

Armed with a pair of headphones and their "Audio Guide To Happiness (Part 1)", the musicians of JOLLY want to make their listeners happy. And this in the truest sense of the word: the New York four-piece uses the phenomenon of binaural tones, which - pursuant to research results of diverse studies - evoke feelings of relaxation, creativity and happiness.

With "The Pattern", a new track from the upcoming album released via InsideOut on March 8th, JOLLY now gives you a first chance to try out the effects yourselves and also allows you a look behind the scenes of the band's research:

Binaural tones do not exist as such. They occur when two slightly diverging frequencies are played simultaneously and the brain then generates a third tone, ... the deviation of those two frequencies.

This knowledge cleverly combined with music and lyrics, JOLLY now composed - after releasing their debut album "Forty-Six Minutes, Twelve Seconds of Music" in 2009 - an "Audio Guide To Happiness", leading us a way to happiness in four phases. The first two phases will be available for hobby-brain researcher as well as for music lovers on March 8th, when Part 1 of the Audio Guide will be released in North America. The Pocket Pac also includes Part 2 - but only in textual form.
