InsideOut Music is proud to announce that they have signed a worldwide deal with the band SOUND OF CONTACT. The brainchild of Simon Collins (son of legendary musician Phil Collins) and keyboardist/co-producer Dave Kerzner, the band will release their debut album 'Dimensionaut' on May 28, 2013 in North America. SOUND OF CONTACT marks the beginning of a new chapter for Collins - after ten years as a solo artist, his dream of being in a band has come to fruition with the help of Kerzner, Matt Dorsey, Kelly Nordstrom and Hannah Stobart (Wishing Tree), and a debut record mixed by Nick Davis (Genesis, XTC, Marillion). On the signing to InsideOut, Collins comments: "I'm really excited about working with InsideOut Music and Century Media in what I feel will be a long and successful relationship between my new band Sound of Contact and a label that truly loves music and gets what we're doing."

Label-head Thomas Waber adds: "I am extremely pleased about this new partnership with Sound Of Contact and we are really looking forward to working on their amazing debut album!"
In advance of the album's release, the band will begin a stint with legendary prog band Spock's Beard, and label-mates Beardfish as part of the InsideOut Music 20th Anniversary Tour, a premier event that will see the band taking their music to Europe for the first time. The line-up for these shows will feature Collins, Kerzner and Matt Dorsey joined by John Wesley (Porcupine Tree, Fish) and Jonathan Schang (District 97). Prior to this tour, the band will be featured as part of the Marillion Weekend in Montreal, Canada performing on March 24th, 2013. This will mark the beginning of what is sure to be an incredibly exciting and eventful year for the band.

YOUR LUCKY DAY: JOLLY RELEASES NEW VIDEO PREVIEW FOR "THE AUDIO GUIDE TO HAPPINESS (PART 1)"

On Tuesday March 8th happiness will be tangible by a simple walk to the record store: "The Audio Guide To Happiness (Part 1)", the brand-new album by JOLLY will be out bring its listeners feelings of relaxation, creativity and happiness by using the phenomenon of binaural tones. And according to what the press says so far, this plan seems to be working out pretty well. Otherwise the AARDSCHOK-Magazine would probably not have elected "The Audio Guide To Happiness (Part 1)" to be their Album of the month.
In anticipation of the release JOLLY has scheduled a CD release show in their hometown of New York City on Saturday March 5th at Arlene's Grocery.
It is to say that binaural tones do not exist as such. They occur when two slightly diverging frequencies are played simultaneously and the brain then generates a third tone - the deviation of those two frequencies.
This knowledge cleverly combined with music and lyrics, JOLLY now composed - after releasing their debut album "Forty-Six Minutes, Twelve Seconds of Music" in 2009 - an "Audio Guide To Happiness", leading us a way to happiness in four phases. The first two phases, combined to "Part 1", are now available in stores - and it is surely not only an insider's tip for hobby-brain researchers but rather a strong recommendation for lovers of atmospheric and progressive rock-music! Also included in the Pocket Pac: "Part 2" - but only in textual form.

LEPROUS - NORWEGIAN PROG METALLERS SIGN NEW WORLDWIDE DEAL WITH INSIDEOUTMUSIC; IN THE STUDIO WORKING ON ALBUM RECORDINGS NOW!
InsideOutMusic, the leading label for progressive music, is proud to announce a new worldwide deal with one of the most interesting and talented young progressive outfits in today's scene: LEPROUS 
from Norway.
Here is a statement from the band about the newly inked deal: "We're all very happy...no, delighted....no, enthusiastic..., no THRILLED to be a part of the InsideOut / Century Media family! InsideOut has always been the label we've considered the most suitable for our music, so this is really a dream come true for us! We're ready to take LEPROUS to new heights in 2011, and the signing with InsideOut / Century Media is just the first step." LEPROUS is a young five piece band (ages range from 19 to 25 years) hailing from the metal town of Notodden, Norway, also home of bands such as Emperor, Zyklon, Ihsahn, Peccatum, etc. Originally founded in 2001, they've gone through a few line-up changes to now consist of Einar Solberg (synth/vocals), Tor Oddmund Suhrke (guitar), Rein Blomquist (bass, also in Above Symmetry), Øystein Landsverk (guitar) and Tobias Ørnes Andersen (drums).
The music of LEPROUS is not easy to classify. Various genres are included, from progressive rock, to jazz, to pure metal and the vocals alternate between clean singing and growling, adding heaviness to the music. Instead of drawing parallels to this or that, bands such as Opeth, King Crimson, Porcupine Tree, The Mars Volta, The Dillinger Escape Plan or Shining (NO) should be seen rather as a songwriting influence than as comparison. It's all in the eye (or in this case, the ear) of the beholder...
LEPROUS have already made themselves visible on the Norwegian prog- and metal scene by releasing the self-financed full length demo CD "Aeolia" in 2007 and by making it to the finals of the Norwegian Rock Championship twice. In May of 2009, LEPROUS released their first real album "Tall Poppy Syndrome" via American label Sensory Records and that album quickly became somewhat of an underground cult-release, heralded as the best 2009 prog-metal release by many media people.
"With songwriting full of endless surprises and unpredictability, Tall Poppy Syndrome is a breath of fresh air in progressive metal and a required listen for any fans of the genre."

Backed by their new management/booking agency, Intromental Worldwide, LEPROUS spent 2009/2010 promoting the album's release with numerous shows throughout Scandinavia, Europe and USA, as well as finally a main support slot for the fall 2010 European tour of Swedish symphonic/orchestral metal band Therion, taking them through no less than 17 countries in 30 days.
Besides their own band, the members of LEPROUS are currently also acting as the session/live band of solo artist "Ihsahn", also known as the front figure of the legendary black metal band Emperor.
LEPROUS are currently busy with studio work for their upcoming, still untitled next album, to be released via InsideOutMusic after the summer of 2011. Stay tuned for more details to drop soon about an extremely interesting listening-experience coming your way soon...

The show will be held at Arlene's Grocery which is located at 95 Stanton St in New York City. The band will be playing a full set featuring tracks from their new release which is in stores March 8 on InsideOut Music.
Armed with a pair of headphones and their "Audio Guide To Happiness (Part 1)", the musicians of JOLLY want to make their listeners happy. And this in the truest sense of the word: the New York four-piece uses the phenomenon of binaural tones, which - pursuant to research results of diverse studies - evoke feelings of relaxation, creativity and happiness.
With "The Pattern", a new track from the upcoming album released via InsideOut on March 8th, JOLLY now gives you a first chance to try out the effects yourselves and also allows you a look behind the scenes of the band's research:
