BASICK RECORDS ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP WITH CENTURY MEDIA

Recently celebrating their 5th birthday, rising independent UK label BASICK RECORDS are starting 2011 with a bang as they announce a brand new strategic partnership for exclusive licensing, production and distribution arrangements in North American territories with the Century Media Group.

Currently distributed by EMI worldwide, Century Media are now enjoying over 20 years as pioneering leaders in the world of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, responsible for developing the careers of Lacuna Coil, Suicide Silence, Strapping Young Lad and Shadows Fall to name only a few.

In a tailor-made deal that will see Century Media distribute Basick's existing catalogue as well as exclusively license and distribute future Basick releases in North America, CM A&R veteran Steve Joh comments: "Barley and the rest of BASICK crew have been doing some amazing stuff overseas for the past few years. Century Media and I are very excited to be a part of their growth here in North America and we are all looking forward to working together for a long time."

Barley also remarks: "I'm absolutely thrilled to finally be bringing BASICK to North America under the guardianship of Century Media. It was vitally important for us to strategically align our label with the correct A&R support network and retail distribution structure, so who better to team up with than Steve Joh and CM? Steve's impeccable record speaks for itself and I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in the years to come."
To celebrate this fledgling partnership, a FREE sampler featuring 10 tracks from the BASICK catalogue is now available to download at the following link: http://www.basickrecords.com/free_sampler

New releases for 2011 include records from: THE ARUSHA ACCORD, ALIASES, CHIMP SPANNER, VISIONS, NO MADE SENSE and A DARK ORBIT plus more exciting announcements expected imminently.
