MEAN CREEK ANNOUNCE UPCOMING US TOUR DATES IN SUPPORT OF BUFFALO TOM

HEMOPHILIAC EP NOW AVAILABLE FOR FREE DOWNLOAD VIA BAND'S BANDCAMP PAGE

BAND SCHEDULED TO PERFORM AT 2011 SXSW MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL IN AUSTIN, TEXAS, IN MARCH

Boston-based rock quartet Mean Creek is excited to announce its upcoming US appearances. The upcoming run supporting Buffalo Tom on select dates will take in three very special nights beginning in New York City on April 28 at Bowery Ballroom, continuing to Philadelphia, PA, on April 29, and culminating with a performance at Black Cat in Washington, DC, on April 30. Prior to the upcoming support dates, the band will be making an appearance at this year's SXSW Music and Arts Festival in Austin, TX, from March 17-19. These scheduled performances are in support of the band's recently issued, self-released Hemophiliac EP.

Recorded in Brooklyn, NY, in January 2011, produced in conjunction with legendary producer John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., The Hold Steady, etc.) and released on the heels of the band's critically-acclaimed 7" titled The Comedian, Mean Creek's Hemophiliac EP is yet another solid addition to the band's burgeoning catalog of raw and monumental rock.

"Boston rockers Mean Creek pack thundering drums, huge guitars, and soaring melodies into one sweet package." - NYLON

"Mean Creek doesn't so much shimmy or shuffle into your heart as knock the door down and stand there pounding on the walls." - THE BOSTON GLOBE

Recently named "Best Boston Act" by the readers of The Boston Phoenix and receiving nominations at this past year's Boston Music Awards for "Album of the Year" and "Song of the Year" for their track "The Comedian," Mean Creek entered the studio in January with Agnello once again to capture their distinct live sound and energy onto recording. The result of this recent session is the expansive four-song Hemophiliac EP, a confident rock statement that easily stands as the band's most determined work to date due the anthemic and highly-emotional cuts contained within.

Mean Creek will be making the following US appearances that will include a stop in Austin, TX, for the SXSW Music and Arts Festival in March and select dates supporting Buffalo Tom in April.
