With the official street date for the release of WEEDEATER's latest whiskey-soaked album Jason... The Dragon just days away, the band have put their entire album up for streaming from now until the album officially drops! New WEEDEATER Track On Stereogum Today; Tour Continues Intoxicating The U.S.

As the official release date for WEEDEATER's anticipated Jason... The Dragon full-length nears, today Stereogum.com are hosting the premiere of a brand new track from the album for public enjoyment. The song rages with the band's patented scathing tones and massive buildups, but also shows a bit of a melodic edge to the band's methodology as well.

With Jason... The Dragon set for worldwide disbursement on March 15th via Southern Lord, the band are currently embarked on their country-wide stampede in support of the album. Now two weeks into the brutal five-week trek, the band continue to feed their intoxicating sludge to the masses as they work their way to Texas for this year's SXSW shindig, bearing support from Zoroaster, Kvelertak and more over the next few weeks.

THE BODY: Five-Week U.S. Tour Assault Begins This Weekend

Not a band to sit around long enough for their smoldering amp heads to cool, THE BODY have just completed three shows in the Northeast US with Braveyoung, and are now entering full-on tour mode once again for the next five weeks.

 

Kicking off this Saturday evening in Ithaca, New York, the band will bulldoze another path across the country once again, including an appearance at next weeks' massive Scion Rock Fest in California alongside Bastard Noise, Integrity, Morbid Angel, Obituary, Christian Mistress, Nails, Black Breath, Necrite and more.

 

THE BODY will also decimate multiple parties and showcases alongside Austin's SXSW festivities, including the Converse and Thrasher's Death Match alongside Zoroaster, Weedeater, Liturgy and Trash Talk, the BrooklynVegan/Profound Lore SXSW showcase with Dark Castle, Tombs, Grayceon, Wolvhammer, Castevet, Batillus, Altaar and Deafhaven, a party for their new booking agency Ballistic Missile Booking, and a Sleeping Giant Glossolalia/Not Not Fun day party on the last day of the fest, followed that same evening by a throwdown at Bro Fest with Liturgy, The Funeral Pyre, Owen Hart and more.

 

Following the multitude of live assaults in the Lone Star State, THE BODY will continue working their way back east alongside Australia's disheartening Whitehorse for the following two weeks where they'll complete the tour in their hometown of Providence, Rhode Island.
