Formed in 2008 by Parker Jameson, Spencer Weidner and Charlie Federici, the band self-released an EP in 2010 under the moniker MASSAKREN and played numerous shows across the US. A buzz about the band soon developed in the metal underground, and in tandem with signing to global powerhouse Century Media Records, they decided to change their name to STARKILL to mark the next chapter in their musical career.

While most of their peers were listening to and playing to the "core" US-based bands, the members of STARKILL spent their days cutting their chops to European metal-- and the band makes no qualms about wearing their influences on their sleeves. Inspired by the likes of early CHILDREN OF BODOM à la the now classic Hatebreeder and Follow the Reaper, in addition to NIGHTWISH, AMON AMARTH and DRAGONFORCE, STARKILL aims to pay homage to these acts, while also putting their own spin on Euro-metal-- and their new album, Fires of Life, does just that.

Produced by the band's own Jameson and mastered by death metal legend, James Murphy (DEATH, TESTAMENT, OBITUARY), the album's concept, both lyrically and musically, is overlain in medieval fantasy-themed battles, mythology, and destruction. Fires of Life's artwork, created by renowned metal artist, Joshua Belanger, captures this perfectly.

Stay tuned for more news about STARKILL and Fires of Life coming soon!

KRISIUN posts new song, “Rise and Con front”, online!

Only two weeks away from the release of their highly anticipated new offering The Great Execution (which will be released via Century Media Records on October 31st in Europe and November 1st in the US), the death metal trio KRISIUN is now unleashing a second song upon the masses. "Rise and Confront" is a relentless track that will blow your brains out-- check it out here:

And for those who cannot wait to see the brothers perform the new breed of brutality live onstage, there's more good news along the way. The gang of three will be playing a full blown European tour in January and February 2012 (exact dates to be announced very shortly).

The Great Execution, produced once again by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio, is the band's 8th studio album and musically expands KRISIUN's trademark high speed death metal violence with a heavily increased amount of diversity, ranging from extreme tempo variations over distinct rhythm patterns to clean guitars---and even Flamenco parts!

KRISIUN only used analogue gear and instruments while recording in order to avoid the compressed sound that so many musicians produce today. This wise decision resulted in a more organic sound, with the songs on The Great Execution possessing both a warmth and rawness that are so often lost through digital production.

KRISIUN to release new album, "The Great Execution", this fall!

Brazilian death metalers KRISIUN triumphantly return with their newest monument of brutality, "The Great Execution", set for release on November 1st in North America!

"The Great Execution" is the band's 8th studio album and musically expands KRISIUN's trademark high speed death metal violence with a heavily increased amount of diversity, ranging from extreme tempo variations over distinct rhythm patterns to clean guitars----and even Flamenco parts!

KRISIUN only used analog gear and instruments while recording this album to avoid the compressed sound that so many musicians produce today. This wise decision resulted in a more organic sound, with the songs on "The Great Execution" possessing both a warmth and a rawness that is so often lost through digital production. The low end is deeper, with drums that pound instead of bounce and guitar tones that sear rather than hiss.

"With our new record we managed to capture the sound and the vibe that we were always looking for," adds vocalist/bassist Alex Camargo. Going back to Stage One Studio in Germany and working with Andy Classen again was the right choice. The album came out with a very distinctive and natural sound, shattering the boundaries of the style once more.

The cover artwork was created by Japanese artist Toshihiro Egawa, who previously designed artwork for acts like SUICIDE SILENCE, HEAVEN SHALL BURN, DEVOURMENT, DYING FETUS, among many others.

"The Great Execution" will be available as a limited edition digipak including a re-recorded version of the classic KRISIUN song "Black Force Domain" as a bonus track, plus as a180g gatefold vinyl and as a digital download.
