Progressive instrumentalist powerhouse, ANIMALS AS LEADERS, have debuted the track, "Odessa," from their upcoming album, "Weightless," exclusively through Alternative Press. Listen to it NOW.
"Weightless" is the act's second release and will be released by Prosthetic Records in North America on Nov. 8, in mainland Europe on Nov. 4 and in the UK on Nov. 7. The endeavor was produced by drummer Navene Koperweis and ANIMALS AS LEADERS and mixed by guitarist Javier Reyes. The album marks the recording debuts of Koperweis and Reyes with ANIMALS AS LEADERS. The track, "Isolated Incidents" can be streamed now at Prosthetic Records' webstore, where the official pre-order has launched.
"Weightless" will be available on CD, MP3 and LP. The CD comes in a six-panel, plastic-free "eco-package," while the LP version is limited to 1000 copies in a custom, die-cut, heavyweight Stoughton jacket with a download card. There are also two exclusive T-shirts and a zip-up hooded sweatshirt, with a limited-edition screen print offered for those who purchase the "deluxe" bundle (both shirts and either an LP or CD).

ANIMALS AS LEADERS was initially the moniker under which virtuoso guitarist Tosin Abasi chose to release his groundbreaking 2009 solo debut, but it quickly became a full-fledged band that wowed crowds on tour with the likes of Circa Survive, Underoath, The Dillinger Escape Plan and many more. Their video for "CAFO" has been viewed on YouTube well over one million times. Steve Vai has called ANIMALS AS LEADERS "the future of creative, heavy, virtuoso guitar," while MetalSucks recently ranked Abasi #2 on their list of the Top 25 Modern Metal guitarists.
