TESSERACT Release New Video Trailer for Altered State

UK's progressive rock band TESSERACT has released another video featuring new music from their upcoming album 'Altered State' which will be released on May 28, 2013 in North America via Century Media Records. Divided into four movements: Of Matter, Of Mind, Of Reality and Of Energy, 'Altered State' represents the transformations that TESSERACT has gone through over the past few years. The Law of Conservation of Energy states that: In a closed system energy is conserved, nothing is lost. It merely changes from one state to another.

'Altered State' was produced, mixed, mastered and engineered by TESSERACT guitarist, Acle Kahney, assisted by bassist, Amos Williams at Acle's 4D Sounds studio, and marks the first full release with new vocalist, Ashe O'Hara.

The band is set to head out with longtime friends, PERIPHERY, throughout mainland Europe and then headline dates throughout the UK just prior to album release. Worldwide touring will follow throughout the year.

TESSERACT Announces Release Date and Track Listing for New Album

UK's progressive rock band, TESSERACT, has announced that their second full length album, ALTERED STATE, will be released on May 27, 2013 throughout Europe and May 28, 2013 in North America via Century Media Records. Divided into four movements: Of Matter, Of Mind, Of Reality and Of Energy, ALTERED STATE in its purest form, is about the transformations the band has gone through over the past few years. TESSERACT elaborates:

"The concept behind the presentation of ALTERED STATE is very simple. It is about change, and how life is change. We have been through a very difficult period of time over the last few years. It is a miracle that the band has survived. I feel it is the ability to step back and see everything for what it is (hence the Perspective EP) that has allowed us to get on with life and try to enjoy it. Reality is change."

TESSERACT to Release Acoustic EP 'Perspective' on May 22

Progressive-metallers TESSERACT have announced additional details to their highly-anticipated acoustic EP, Perspective. Set for a North American release of May 22 and a European release of May 21, Perspective will be available digitally, while a physical version will be available exclusively through CMDistro.com in North America and the band's webshops: European (http://www.bandstores.co.uk/shop/tesseract/) and American ( http://www.merchconnectioninc.com/collections/tesseract). The five song EP features "Eden 2.0", acoustic versions of three tracks from the band's debut album, One, plus a cover of Jeff Buckley's classic, "Dream Brother". As a special bonus, the iTunes version will contain instrumentals of all the tracks.

A trailer for Perspective was recently released, featuring audio clips from all the songs on the EP. The trailer can be seen here. TESSERACT Releases New Music Video For "EDEN"

After releasing audio snippets, behind the scenes photos and additional online teasers, TESSERACT has finally revealed the long awaited new music video for the track "Eden". Though "Eden" was originally on the band's debut album One , this rendition is a newly re-recorded version with vocalist Elliot Coleman. Directed by Ganesh Rao (EMPYREAN), the video flows perfectly with the calming yet complex progressive metal arrangement.

TESSERACT begins "The Saints and Sinners" Tour today with BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME and ANIMALS AS LEADERS.

TESSERACT Releases Behind-The-Scenes Look at Upcoming "EDEN" Music Video

Progressive metal act TESSERACT has released a behind-the-scenes look from their upcoming video, "Eden". Originally featured on their debut album One , this rendition of "Eden" is a re-recording with newly announced vocalist ELLIOT COLEMAN. In association with Escape Plan Productions, the video for "Eden" will feature the artistic vision of director Ganesh Rao (EMPYREAN) and director of photography Jonny Greenwald. TESSERACT Enters the studio to record new single

TESSERACT is in the studio for the first time with newly announced vocalist, Elliot Coleman. Originally featured on their debut album One , the band is re-recording "Eden" with Coleman on vocals and will also be releasing a music video in for the track. More details will be announced shortly, but in the meantime TesseracT has released studio footage of the recording process which can be seen here.

"Recently, we were lucky enough to get the chance to work again with Francesco Carmeli at Sphere Studios on the recording of our new single 'Eden'. As with many of our tracks off of One, the song has developed somewhat since we first recorded it a few years ago. We've had the chance to tweak and add some spice to the song. As with everything TesseracT, it should surprise and delight the listener. We feel we've raised our bar, both in the context of song writing and production."

TesseracT will join BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME and ANIMALS AS LEADERS on the " Saints and Sinners!" Tour this fall.

TesseracT announce Elliot Coleman as their new vocalist

Progressive metallers TesseracT are very excited to announce that Elliot Coleman has joined the band as lead vocalist. Elliot's huge range, distinctive character and brutal roars demonstrated on his work with OMNOM, Sky Eats Airplane and Zelliack made him the perfect replacement for former vocalist, Dan Tompkins.

TesseracT bassist, Amos Williams, makes the introduction: "We'd like to take this opportunity to introduce somebody special, Elliot Coleman. Some of you may know him as a member of Zelliack, Sky Eats Airplane and Of Legends, or maybe from OMNOM, or Haunted Shores. Well now he's part of TesseracT! We're very excited about working with Elliot as we feel he has a great talent and personality, as well as, and most importantly a voice that transcends the norm and continues the TesseracT tradition of taking things to the next level."

Elliot's catalogue of work is as impressive as it is extensive including numerous appearances with Haunted Shores and a guest spot on Periphery's track "Race Car". He most recently played bass in Washington DC tech metallers Of Legends, but as a passionate vocalist, he jumped at the chance to front TesseracT.

Elliot comments: "I'm very much excited to be a part of the juggernaut that is TesseracT. I know I have big shoes to fill as Dan is a fantastic vocalist, but i'm confident that we'll be producing some great new music in the coming year and i'll be adding some new flavours to this ever evolving machine"

Former vocalist Dan Tompkins left the band in July due to other life priorities.

Dan explains "It is with a heavy heart that I must announce I am leaving TesseracT. This has been the most difficult decision I have had to make in my career as a singer. My priorities in life have changed and as such I can no longer continue with the band. Our friendships are strong and I wish to thank Acle, Mos, Jay and James for all their support and dedication over the past few years. We have achieved great things, travelled the world and met many incredible people and I stand proud to say that I have been a part of the band's success and helped to carve a wonderful album. I will hold onto these memories for the rest of my life. It has been an incredible journey and it is certainly not the end for myself or TesseracT. I look forward to new beginnings and wish my good friends all the very best for the future."

Amos continues "You know, when you travel so far and spend so much time together, as well as achieving as much as we have over the past three years, you become like family. And it is precisely because of that close bond that we fully understand and respect Dan's choice to no longer be a part of TesseracT. We are and will always be close friends, and hope there will be a time in the future when we will work together again. Thank you buddy for being part of the TesseracT journey, we will always have fond memories of the Dan Tompkins years!"

Approaching the line up adjustment as a progression rather than a setback, the band is already hard at work writing the follow up to the critically acclaimed album, "One" with Elliot.

The band head out on their 'Lowering The Tone' headline tour throughout Europe in September and October before heading to the US for the "Saints and Sinners" Tour in November and December with Animals as Leaders and Between The Buried and Me.
