There will be two packages available: A Reserved Seat package and a General Admission package. Details of what is included in each package can be found here. Check out a new promotional video created by SLIPKNOT’s Clown to celebrate the pre-sale at this location.

The ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL recently announced the addition of MOTÖRHEAD to the 2012 line-up! This marks the first summer tour that MOTÖRHEAD has taken part in for a long time. The legendary metal veterans join the already stellar 2012 main stage line-up, featuring multi-platinum Iowa cult metal groundbreakers SLIPKNOT in the headlining position, as well as legendary thrash metal kings SLAYER—both returning to the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL for a second turn at pummeling fans.

This year, in addition to SLIPKNOT, SLAYER, and MOTÖRHEAD, the main stage will also spotlight a ferocious rotation of today’s best artists, including THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, AS I LAY DYING and ASKING ALEXANDRIA. In 2012 the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL has upgraded the production on the festival stage and this year the JAGERMEISTER STAGE will feature a special headline set by New York metal masters ANTHRAX supported by a rotation of THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, AS I LAY DYING and ASKING ALEXANDRIA, along with WHITECHAPEL, HIGH ON FIRE and the JAGERMEISTER opener. Please note that bands may vary per market.

Also recently announced: Sumerian Records is joining the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL! Headbang For The Highway will be presenting the Sumerian Records Stage at the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL this year. Sumerian Records, who are known for some of the most cutting-edge bands in heavy music today, will be bringing UPON A BURNING BODY, I THE BREATHER and Headbang For The Highway “Battle of the Bands” winners along for the ride. DIRTFEDD will also be performing on the festival. The fun doesn’t end there, as Headbang For The Highway will be holding contests all over the U.S. for unsigned bands to win opening spots on the Sumerian Records Stage at the festival. Stay tuned to www.facebook.com/sumerianrecords for more info coming soon on the line-up and how you can enter your band!

The 5th annual ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL will make a 27 date trek across the U.S. beginning on June 30th at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California. The tour will also feature ROCKSTAR METAL MULISHA JUMP TEAM, on select dates. To learn more about the ROCKSTAR METAL MULISHA JUMP TEAM head to this link: http://www.metalmulisha.com/.

SLAYER AND ROB ZOMBIE TO BRING HELL ON EARTH TO NORTH AMERICA

The Two Metal Icons Will Together for the First Time in More than a Decade

Get ready for hell on earth, because for the first time since they tour together on Ozzfest 1999, Rob Zombie and Slayer are teaming up to hit the road, bringing a glorious purgatory to fans in 12 North American cities. The co-headline trek kicks off Wednesday, July 20 at the Sovereign Center in Reading, PA.  Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 1 at 10:00AM local time.  Tickets for all shows are available at the venues' box office, and via the online outlets as listed below.

"We haven't toured with Zombie since Ozzfest 1999, so you can expect no less than 'hell on earth,'" said Slayer's Kerry King.  "Total sonic annihilation and a visual bludgeoning.  Bring your own body bag..."

"Total destruction on stage and off is what this combination promises," states Zombie, "Seriously, how much more Hell could you ask for? The answer is none more Hell."

Both Zombie and Slayer will present their full headline sets at every show, and both bands will close shows over the course of the tour.  San Francisco's thrash-metal band Exodus has been confirmed to open all shows.

Slayer has been performing its classic 1990 Seasons In the Abyss album in its entirety over the past several months, but will instead draw from its entire 30-year catalogue for this tour's setlist.

Never one to play it safe, Zombie will be bringing his legendary stage show out in full force. Audiences can expect an exploding non-stop barrage of sin, sex and Satan guaranteed to rip your face off. This a true rock and roll spectacle at its finest.

Rob Zombie: With more than 15 million albums sold, seven Grammy nominations, the helming of five major motion pictures (including the #1 record-breaking "Halloween") and dozens of music videos under his belt, Zombie is truly a force to be reckoned with in today's entertainment landscape.  For over 25 years his unique meld of horror and hard rock has influenced his sound as a musician, and more recently, his vision as a director and writer.  After the tour, Zombie will be starting production on his sixth feature film, "The Lords of Salem," with the producers of the Paranormal Activity franchise.

Slayer:  The Chicago Tribune's Greg Kot wrote that the  four-time-nominated, two-time Grammy winning Slayer is "one of the great American rock bands of the last 30 years, forget about genre."  Indeed, few bands come close to matching the intensity that Slayer brings to its live shows, having been named "Best Live Band" by numerous media outlets including Revolver, SPIN, and Metal Hammer.  With songs that mirror the turmoil and aberrations of our society - God's terrifying global genocide, the chaos of our broken political system, chemical warfare, the hideous minds of serial killers, and the way-too-close proximity of world horrors that technology has brought us, Slayer remains crushing and brutal, steadfastly refusing to cater to the Mainstream.

'METALION: The Slayer Mag Diaries' Book Cover Revealed

Bazillion Points Books has revealed the final cover artwork for METALION: The Slayer Mag Diaries, a mammoth 744-page hardcover journey into black metal, death metal, and beyond by Norway's metal godfather Jon Kristiansen. "The greatest heavy metal story ever told" will be available June 6, 2011, wherever books are sold, and is available for preorder now with two bonus limited patches at THIS LOCATION

Part anthology, part memoir, and years in the making, METALION includes over 600 reproduction pages from every issue of Slayer Mag, spanning from the early 1980s through 2010. In addition, author Jon Kristiansen recounts his life's story, from alienated outsider to central figure in Norwegian black metal to world-weary metal survivor. The book also features over 100 rare photographs, including two color sections and a portrait gallery of photographs taken by Kristiansen himself.

The astonishing combination of archival material includes scores of key historic interviews with the most revered  figures in extreme metal, including Mayhem, Emperor, Slayer, Kreator, Nihilist, Celtic Frost, Bathory, Cathedral, Entombed, Morbid, Napalm Death, Metallica, Opeth, Cradle of Filth, Sadistik Execution, Usurper, Nifelheim, Darkthrone, Sodom, Destruction, Morbid Angel, Deicide, Exodus, Dissection, Candlemass, Carcass, Sepultura, Gorgoroth, Death, Watain, Sadus, Satyricon, Enslaved, Pentagram, Jarboe, Immortal, Possessed, Overkill, Ulver, Dark Angel, and countless others.

"From the start, I made Slayer Mag as honestly and as well as I could," says Kristiansen. "I never knew any other way. I hope that I have produced something that will stand the test of time."

Advance praise for METALION:

"The legendary Slayer Mag gets its long overdue anthology"-Decibel

"Presiding over the birth of extreme metal from its Scandinavian heartland, the first issue of the legendary Slayer Mag  was cranked out in 1985 and over the years shifted its coverage to provide an insider view of Swedish death metal and Norwegian black metal through their formative and most controversial years."-Terrorizer

"Best idea since sliced bread."-Fenriz, Darkthrone
