BLOOD INTO WINE WINS BEST FEATURE DOCUMENTARY AT TRAIL DANCE FILM FESTIVAL; MOVIE NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ON ITUNES

Phoenix, Ariz., Mar. 9 – Blood Into Wine (http://www.bloodintowine.com/), the documentary that follows Tool/A Perfect Circle front man Maynard James Keenan and his work towards creating a credible winemaking region in Northern Arizona, has added to their collection of awards and accolades by winning the Golden Drover Award for Best Feature Documentary at the 2011 Trail Dance Film Festival.

“Our entire team is absolutely thrilled about winning the Trail Dance Film Festival Documentary Award.  We made the film with great care and it's been a wonderful honor to see it recognized by such a prestigious festival.” said Co-Directors Christopher Pomerenke and Ryan Page.

The film, which was released in 2009 and was independently distributed to over 125 theaters in the United States, was made available on DVD/Blu-Ray and Netflix in September of 2009.  Blood Into Wine remains one of Netflix’s most streamed movies.  The film has recently been added to iTunes and will be available as a VOD (video on demand) title via the Blood Into Wine website in mid-March.

The filmmaking team of Ryan Page and Christopher Pomerenke remains active with their music-meets-science documentary The Heart Is A Drum Machine and its accompanying score (music by The Flaming Lips’ Steven Drozd) now in-stores and their debut feature film, Queens of Country, which stars Lizzy Caplan (True Blood, Mean Girls) and Ron Livingston (Office Space, Band of Brothers) in post-production.

To celebrate the Golden Drover Award, the filmmakers are giving fans an opportunity to own a rare prop from the film (a photo frame Keenan is shown with in various scenes which was used to introduce new segments) as well as view a pair of special features exclusive to the DVD on Bloodintowine.com.
