Los Angeles-based heavy metallers HOLY GRAIL have teamed with NOISECREEP to premiere the lyric video for the title track of their upcoming album, "Ride The Void." The album, which will be released on Jan. 22 through PROSTHETIC RECORDS in U.S., Jan. 16 via Universal in Japan, and via Nuclear Blast on Jan. 18 in Europe and Jan. 21 in the UK, is currently available for pre-order through www.RideTheVoid.com. RYAN WASTE OF MUNICIPAL WASTE: "WE ALWAYS WILL BE A FAST BAND"

“We just wrote it on the spot and went into hyperspeed,” states MUNICIPAL WASTE guitarist Ryan Waste about the new track “Unholy Abductor” in his recent interview with MSN.com. “I mean, we’ve always been a fast band, we always will be a fast band, but it’s never a conscious effort to be like, ‘This is going to be faster than the last one.’ It just kind of comes out. A couple of [new songs] are just relentless, and I’m pretty proud of that speed factor.”

Ryan also discusses his favorite movie & movie score of all time, having the opportunity to work with Nuclear Assault vocalist & guitarist John Connelly, and what John Carpenter has to do with the band’s new album, The Fatal Feast.

MUNICIPAL WASTE: THE FATAL FEAST ALBUM ART REVEALED

The cover artwork for MUNICIPAL WASTE’s fifth studio album – due out in North America on April 10^th and in Europe on April 13^th - was created by Justin Osbourn of Slasher Design.

Osbourn answers a few questions about the artistic process for his “Waste In Space” masterpiece:

Did you hear any new music before you created this bad boy?

Nope, I wasn’t given any of the new song demos beforehand. Ryan [Waste, guitarist] kinda gave me an overall theme and certain elements that they wanted to see in the artwork. Being a fan of the band, I just took that and added what I thought would enhance it further.

·     Why does the guy being eaten resemble Captain James Tiberius Kirk?

It’s kinda weird that you say that... I happen to be quite the fan of the original Star Trek series. It would have totally made sense for that to be Captain Kirk being devoured, but unfortunately, that was never my intent. Perhaps it was subconsciously, though? How ‘bout we just tell everyone it is.

·     Anything hidden in the artwork (a la Derek Riggs/Iron Maiden covers) that fans should keep an eye out for?

Sorta. The number of cheap beer cans/bottles laying around on the cover are just about the right number I would drink on a night I would call a Pretty Damn Good Night. Oh, and there’s an empty half pint of Viaka Vodka in there as well; it’s just that it’s laying behind The Waste-oids devouring Captain Kirk. Ha ha.

·     In your opinion, what brand of beer gives the best “Kssshhhhkt!” sound when you open it?

      I like to keep it on the classy side, so the answer is simple. The champagne of beers... Miller High Life.

MUNICIPAL WASTE ANNOUNCES SPRING TOUR WITH GWAR & GHOUL

Daring to represent the U.S. on the 24-show “Return Of The World Maggot” Spring tour in support of their upcoming new album The Fatal Feast, human side dishes MUNICIPAL WASTE will provide direct support to pirate aliens GWAR for a trek across the country beginning March 16^th in Richmond, Virginia with a benefit show for the Smoot Family Fund established to help support the widow and unborn child of recently fallen GWAR member Cory “Flattus Maximus” Smoot. 

Also recruited for the phalanx of terran devastation are Creepsylvania’s Ghoul. New Zealand’s Legacy Of Disorder will join the tour on March 20^th in Boston. 

Vocalist Tony Foresta hints at what fans can expect:

“After taking over a year off from touring to write a new album, it's about time we got our butts back out on the road where we belong. Who else better to do that with than our good friends Gwar and Ghoul? I guess we better make some crazy masks or something so we don’t look out of place on stage. We got a lot of cool surprises on this run lined up and we're pulling out a whole new set featuring lots of really old songs as well as some brand new rippers. See you there!”

Drummer Dave Witte adds:

“I'm really looking forward to this tour. The bill is awesome and there are a lot of places The Waste haven't been to. After a year away from constant touring and a batch of new songs to play, I'm itching to get going already.”

Virginia’s MUNICIPAL WASTE reports that the band has just completed work on their fifth studio album. Lead singer Tony Foresta is ready & willing to unveil the name of the new album & its guests:

“We're calling the record The Fatal Feast and are expecting it to come out early next year along with a healthy dose of touring. The record is also going to feature some guest spots from John Connelly [guitarist & vocalist for Nuclear Assault], Steve Moore [who plays bass & synthesizers for Zombi], and [vocalist] Tim Barry [ex-Avail, Tim Barry]. The Waste is really looking forward to providing you with the soundtrack to the end of the world in 2012. See you there!”
