DARK TRANQUILLITY comments about "For Broken Words": "This is one of the heaviest and most brooding tracks from 'Construct', so it's a good candidate for the online premiere song position. More music from the album will be presented shortly."

Decades after their inception, Gothenburg's DARK TRANQUILLITY remains at the forefront of the scene that they helped to define as one of the longest-standing melodic death metal bands. Their 10th studio album, Construct, continues in the tradition of their past records by not straying from the band's roots, while also putting a fresh spin on their trademark sound. After over 20 years together, DARK TRANQUILLITY yet again proves that they are more vital than ever.

Some European summer festival appearances have already been announced, and the band is currently working on an EU/UK tour for this upcoming November/December. North American fans can look forward to a full tour being planned for September 2013. Stay tuned for more tour dates coming soon!

"The selected few people that so far have been granted the privilege of hearing the full album are uniformingly convinced that 'Construct' is the strongest and most exciting D.T. album in a long time, and who are we to disagree? While still bearing the unmistakable mark of the dark tranquillity, the record is probably our most different and diverse offering since 1999's 'Projector'. For now, we're pleased to share the track-list, trailer and sleeve design with you, but the first musical preview will appear in the near future."

DARK TRANQUILLITY releases new video for "In My Absence"

DARK TRANQUILLITY is proud to present their new music video, "In My Absence"! Taken from their latest release, We Are The Void (2010), "In My Absence" is the band's fifth promo clip for the album, and it was filmed by the band themselves on the road, with guitarist Niklas Sundin (www.cabinfevermedia.com / www.adurolabs.se) taking care of the editing/post production duties. Additional live footage was provided by Anders Björler (THE HAUNTED, AT THE GATES) and Nikolas Pegler. Click here to check out this new video from DARK TRANQUILLITY.

In regards to this video, Niklas Sundin comments: "I wanted to create a live video that would capture the energy of our show both from the audience's perspective as well as from the stage. To accomplish this, we headed out on our recent Europe/Russia tours equipped with a GoPro HD camera, which was mounted on various objects (guitar necks, vocal microphone, member's bodies etc.) on most of the shows. Despite probably looking pretty weird for those in the crowd that noticed the little device, we arrived home with a lot of interesting footage, and after a lot of editing we're happy to present the final result: A clip for 'In My Absence', filled with an energy and closeness out of the ordinary. Enjoy!"

DARK TRANQUILLITY, the unstoppable metal machine from Gothenburg, Sweden, has already played over 160 shows all over the world in support of We Are The Void, and the band continues to tour, heading to exotic locations such as China, Japan, South Korea, Israel, and Turkey, as well as appearing at European summer festivals in the upcoming months. In fall 2012, they will take a break to focus on a new album.
