Question: Doesn't anyone have some real goddamn rock and roll to listen to? Answer: Try GRAVEYARD.
Yeah, the notches etched into GRAVEYARD’s headstone surrounding their second studio album, Hisingen Blues, just keep coming.
Trumping Britney Spears’ new album for the #1 spot on the Swedish album chart? Check. Opening for Iron Maiden? Check. Confirmed to play 2011's Bonnaroo Festival? Check. A #78 Media Control chart debut in Germany? Check. Debut on three U.S. Billboard charts? Check.
And here’s the latest: Robin Hilton, Bob Boilen, and Lars Gotrich - the music lovin’ folks over at National Public Radio with obviously excellent taste in rock - had some great things to say about GRAVEYARD’s: a) long hair and b) their latest album.
Check out the “All Songs Considered” page here. Listen to the discussion here (GRAVEYARD gets introduced @ 31:47). Listen to the track “Ain’t Fit To Live Here” on NPR's Media Player.
Hisingen Blues was produced, recorded, and mixed in 100% analog by Don Alsterberg (Gonzales, Junip, Soundtrack Of Our Lives, The International Noise Conspiracy) at Don Pierre Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Check out the video for “Hisingen Blues” at this location… and keep an eye out for an original Black Sabbath Master Of Reality-era poster from 1971!
So you call yourself a devout disciple of analog, eh? Then snap to it and order Hisingen Blues on clear blue vinyl at the Nuclear Blast USA's webshop! The CD version is also available here.
