UNEARTH: Band Confirms Drummer For Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Fest and European Hell On Earth Tour

Massachusetts metal merchants UNEARTH today officially welcomes Killswitch Engage drummer Justin Foley to the fold for the band's upcoming slot on this summer's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Fest and their European headlining tour (dubbed the Hell On Earth Tour) to follow. Foley, who also performed on the band's upcoming Darkness In The Light full-length, takes the place of former drummer Derek Kerswill, who parted ways with the band last year due to creative differences.
Comments vocalist Trevor Phipps: "It's great to have Justin on board for Mayhem and Hell On Earth. We really wanted to start this album cycle with Justin behind the kit since he played on and completely slayed the new album. We've been friends for a long time and we recorded an album together, so this just makes sense and it gives us even more to look forward to this summer."
Adds Foley: "I'm really looking forward to playing with some old friends, and spending a summer full of beers and breakdowns!"
Darkness In The Light, which national horror portal Fangoria.com already commended for its "tight riffing, varying from technical pedal-style patternsto twin-harmony Maiden/At The Gates worship, plus all the brutally chugging breakdowns," is UNEARTH's fifth full-length. Scheduled for release in North America on July 5, 2011 via Metal Blade Records, the 11-track long player was recorded at Zing Studios in Westfield, Massachusetts with producer/Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz and mixed at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Trivium, et al).
Darkness In The Light will be streaming in its entirety exclusively on Alternative Press Magazine's website beginning Monday, June 20, 2011. Stay tuned for a direct link to hear the record two weeks before it hits streets! And don't miss UNEARTH on tour this summer!

Of Mice & Men's "The Flood" Out Now On Rise Records; Currently #1 Rock Album on iTunes; Catch Them On The Vans Warped Tour

After massive amounts of hype and anticipation Of Mice & Men met and exceeded all expectations with their early 2010 self-titled debut, selling over 35,000 copies in the first year. They hit the ground running, growing their already solid fanbase by performing on the Vans Warped Tour, Bamboozle and touring with such acts as The Devil Wears Prada, Attack Attack!, We Came As Romans, Alesana, Dance Gavin Dance, I See Stars, I Set My Friends On Fire, Emmure and many more.

Fresh off an almost entirely sold out full US headliner, Of Mice & Men has now unleashed The Flood, their second full length which is currently the #1 Rock Album on iTunes.

Former Attack Attack! front man Austin Carlile returns and gives his most brutal and honest performance to date and is accompanied by Shayley Bourget's soaring, sincere singing. The album showcases the bands true maturation over a year of relentless touring, while still giving kids the brutal breakdowns and catchy choruses they need to turn the live shows into a true experience.

Of Mice & Men will be out on the Vans Warped Tour all summer and will follow that up with a full US tour with We Came As Romans.

So far critics seem to like The Flood as much as fans do. Alternative Press calls it’ ““….a genuine statement of artistic purpose…” While Ourzone Magazine hails it as, “…an essential metalcore album…” The band is currently featured on the cover of Outburn Magazine which is available nationally at a newsstand near you.

The Flood is available now in both physical and digital versions. The physical CD includes an extra bonus track. To purchase the album on iTunes visit: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-flood/id441152744.

Lady Danville On Tour Now with Jack's Mannequin; Tour Begins Tonight In Ventura, CA

LADY DANVILLE is an indie pop trio from Los Angeles, California. With Michael Garner on keys, Matthew Frankel on percussion, and Dan Chang on the guitar LADY DANVILLE is most recognized for their well-crafted harmonies, thoughtful lyrics and refreshing dose of energy, wit and charm, evoking the sound of Simon and Garfunkel meets Death Cab for Cutie.

LADY DANVILLE formed in 2007 after meeting as members of UCLA’s Awaken A Cappella. Since then, the band has gone on to consistently sell out Los Angeles venues including the Troubadour, Viper Room, Hotel Café, and the El Rey. They have also shared the stage with Sara Bareilles, Jack’s Mannequin, Ben Folds, Dashboard Confessional, and Adele. In 2009, the band ventured out of Los Angeles and began to attract more attention as they brought their music to the Pacific Northwest. In March of 2010 LADY DANVILLE embarked on their first West Coast Tour and ended their run in Austin, TX making their debut appearance at the annual SXSW 2010 Music Festival. In April of 2010, they toured the East Coast where they played with Jack’s Mannequin kicking off their first ever East Coast tour.

Zenith Myth To Release Self-Titled Debut on September 6 via Vibra Cobra Records

Los Angeles based artist Zenith Myth is set to release his self-titled debut on September 6 via Vibra Cobra records. Zenith Myth is a personal collection of emotional charged melodic rock music that experiments in structure. The record was produced by Blinker the Star's Jordon Zadorozny at his French Kiss Studios in Pembroke, Canada. Jordon is known for having co-written songs with Lindsey Buckingham, John Parish, Courtney Love, Ken Andrewsamongst many others and recently produced for Chris Cornell.

Zenith Myth is 27 year-old Mike Edwards from Los Angeles, California. Creatively blocked and unfulfilled, Edwards got divorced and left behind what many would call the "perfect life" (a house in the hills of California, a successful career, a seemingly great marriage), and moved to a small town in upstate NY for some perspective. It was there that Zenith Myth was realized.

Edwards also managed to enroll some his close friends to play on the record including Paul D'Amour (Tool), Melissa Auf der Maur (Hole, Smashing Pumpkins), Mike Bloom (Julian Casablancas), Sam Goldberg (Broken Social Scene), and Meshell Ndegeocello.

Having recently moved back to Los Angeles, Edwards now reflects,

"My wife and I had a great 5 years together, breaking up is never easy especially when you love the person. But being "in love" and "loving someone" is a totally different story. Walking away from "that life" was the hardest thing I ever did in my life, but I would do it all over again, if I were in the same position today."

Growing up, Edwards listened to a lot of classic rock
, including the legendary Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Supertramp. Add in a healthy dose of Dinosaur Jr, My Bloody Valentine, Soundgarden and Nine Inch Nails, and you have all of the elements that were incorporated into Zenith Myth's sound.

Zenith Myth is a break-up record of sorts, what guest vocalist Meshell Ndegeocello calls "the best kind of record." The songs are powerful and vary in tempo and tone, but almost seamlessly flow from heavy modern rock into classic rock into more melancholic, ambient, dub-like moments. The music is characterized by high gain, pulverizing lows, inventive and extensive use of feedback, distortion, digital reverb, and meticulous attention to textural sonic detail. The use of extreme volume and pitch pending, along with the loud-quiet dynamics of the songs form almost their own hybrid. From searing metal through gauzy textured ambient atmospheric ballads, to the heaviest distorted down-tuned subsonic bass sounds, the songs serve as a soothing balm for whatever may ail you in these modern times.

Track Listing:

1. Zenith Myth

2. Icicle Tryst

3. Ego Fader

4. Surgical Gain

5. Degeneration Blues

6. Hot Sleeper

7. Manitou

8. Drifter

9. When All We Had Were Promises

Shonen Knife's "Osaka Ramones: Tribute to the Ramones" To Be Released July 19th on Good Charamel Records In Celebration of Shonen Knife's 30th Anniversary; Band To Launch US/Canadian Tour

Shonen Knife have been the most internationally recognized name in Japanese Rock music since their entrance onto the alternative rock scene in the early 90s seeing them become the indie darlings of hipsters and rock stars alike. 2011 celebrates thirty years since Naoko and the band began releasing albums of their joyous mixture of pop, punk, food and fantasy for the world to enjoy. Since their inception in Osaka in 1981 (featuring Naoko’s sister Atsuko and their friend, bassist/vocalist Michie) to their current lineup featuring members Ritsuko (b,v) and Emi (dr,v), SK have maintained their rightful place in the ever changing indie rock scene.

In celebration of this milestone Shonen Knife is paying tribute to one of their biggest musical inspirations since the infancy of their still vibrant career 3 decades ago … NYC’s legendary Ramones.

Osaka Ramones” is not only the name of this tribute album, but is also the name of the side project which has made its way in and out of Shonen Knife’s performing history for decades. This East meets West punk rock combination is now captured in an album recorded and mixed between Osaka, JP and New York over the last year and was co-produced by Robby Takac of the American rock band Goo Goo Dolls.

The album, set for release July 19 on Takac’s label Good Charamel Records, will be supported by a North American tour. Dates will be announced shortly.

Please enjoy this awesome collection of songs and celebrate the music of the world’s greatest punk rock band while we celebrate the 4th decade of Japan’s indie rock icons, the mighty Shonen Knife...Hey Ho, Let’s Go! …

“Ramones were my all-time idols since I first heard their music from a radio and rushed to a record shop. This year is the 30th anniversary of Shonen Knife. For celebration, we decided to record a cover album of our favorite band the Ramones. The title is “Osaka Ramones” with our respect. I’m very happy to release an Osaka Ramones project and to recognize their contribution to the evolution of Shonen Knife“-Naoko, Shonen Knife
